Lmao, when I'm taking screenshots I never fly properly, and when I'm flying properly I never take screenshots. Oh, and neither of those dark cockpits are a Baron, one's the Mooney and the other I THINK was either the CRJ or Lear, can't remember.

Hey guys,

Just a little heads up to make your screenies a little better; Make sure you have "View Hidden Folder" checked in Windows and Go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Userame\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX. Look for the FSX.CFG file and open it with Notepad. Look for the section entitled: [MAIN]. At the top of that entry add:

HideInfoText=1

Close the config file and save the changes. That way, when you take screenies, none of the red text such as "game paused" will show. This will also get rid of the BRAKES message. Something a little less to edit out when you post shots.

Can you tell where did you get that F-16I model ?

Register then look in FS-2004 military jets and type in F-16I

It will be the only one to pop up.

^^ will bring up a new skin. Search for 'VIPR2CFT.ZIP' to get the aircraft at Flightsim.

The files I used was

VIPR2CFT.ZIP - Model from Flightsim
fullf16pnl - Panel from simviation I think (this panel is recommended in the readme of the model) by Eric Marciano
f16i_sufa - Skin from Flightsim

Any issues with landing gear Wilko? My first landing and i had the gear down.
Where'd you get the second guy from? Only 1 shows up in mine.

Stormtrooper.. mate it seems as the air to air model comes with two but the strike package is one guy.. wierd

I tried putting empty for the model in the cfg file but that brings up the ata package again, so for some reason the strike package model ony has one pilot in the model.

Maybe some modelling guru could look at it as I don't own a modelling program.

No probs landing, make sure to adjust your fuel weight as the full tanks make you way heavy

Wilco, what is the airbase scenery you are using for the F-16I shots?

Voz 1.7 Darwin, which is a mixed milatary/Civy base so I have adopted it as my favourite testing ground, it also is by the sea so you get water as well

Very nice shot of both terrain and sky in this one.

It's stock scenery and the Acceleration Hornet. I'm pretty sure the location is somewhere East of Fresno over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I've been taking that aircraft from coast to coast and the scenery in that area was more interesting than anything I'd seen previously.

ETA: Take off from KFAT heading 080 for about 50NM. There are some nice canyons there.

First time posting here. An Austrian Eurofighter Typhoon from Air Surveillance Squadron intercepts a C-130 Hercules of the Egypt Air Force over Salzburg.





Created using FS-Recorder, you can really set up some nice scenarios there.

Yeah it's CH-Pro for FS9. The bird is freeware, altough good one (Cessna 206). I've put on top of it (CH-Pro) the Autogen package from some fan-group (works like a charm).

1. Yes it's lifeless (never saw my mum, or dad in real-time stumbling around their house)!

Maintenance reported the engine already with det damage, but I thought i'd still get one short hop out of it. Unfortunately I was wrong and the temps shot up on roll out but it was too late so I had to lift off with the co-pilot telling me about temps before shouting out a fire warning. Full fire system was engaged and the engine shut down, feathered etc and a slow, low turn around for emergency landing. The real pain in the ass is in the process I managed to damage two more engines so that was three engines that needed overhaul button clicking before I could fly, d'oh!

When I used to play Falcon 1 and Gunship on my Amiga way back in about 1999ish I used to wonder what graphics would be like. Those two didn't have a really good graphics (but pretty good on the Amiga) but their gameplay was absolutely awesome, boy did I live in a dream world then.

From Megascenery, Washington State North of Seattle. Looks good from relatively low altitude. A bit pricey, but great matches on roads with traffic and easier to install and no long load times as for the Goggle Earth loading alternatives

thx, yeah, the beast has flares.

Actually I was flying through SAM-City, you can set up a flightplan wpt as tgt-area and the EW-Screen will show SAM and AAA radar signals and you can hear the SAMs passing by or detonate. Pretty immersive at night.

Yes, concerning the actual performance, I suggest reading something like this:

I have never tried it, it looks like aireal refueling works, but if you want to use TACAN aided refueling (which would be the realistic procedure I guess), it is complicated to set it up and you need a registered version of FSUPIC.
There are numerous posts on that topic over there, explaining the procedures.

Using FS-Recorder to fly formation and also to set up some manouvering targets for the fake "machine gun effects" on these aircraft. You can in fact have a nice dogfight inside FS9 with the AI, if you set it up right - but you can't shoot anyone down.

I just installed one of the many free Carrier groups from the Web, with trap and launch system in Free Flight. Now I can make use of FSX Recorder by Matthias Neusinger. If you record your flight and do not have a stationary object to land on, when played back, your jet will trap in mid air and the Carrier will be hundreds of meters away.

Here is one of my screen shots, trapping on the USS Nimitz. Enjoy.

Wired, you could try saving the default flight (approach to carrier) and start recording when you enter the save, then load the save and start playback. You need to bring FSX into some kind of default state when replaying such recordings.
