EECH working on Windows 10

EECH working on Windows 10 - 02/18/16 03:30 AM

So far so good. I just updated my PC and it is now running Windows 10. I had some reservations about EECH working under Windows 10 along with my Track IR, Thrustmaster Warthog and Cougar MFD pack. Anyway it all works, I even managed to export the MFD's using the shared memory interface in the EECH.ini file to a second monitor. Then exported that image using TightVNC to some small touch screens. Even Touchbuddy is working.

I set the sim compatibility to WinXp and run as admin. The sim is running at 1920x1080 resolution,so it is stretched across my large 2560x1080 pixel monitor. I tried running at larger resolution settings but it would not work.

Here is my simple EECH cockpit working under Windows 10:

I call it simple because it is just a few touch screens. I didn't build a complicated cockpit like some of the enthusiasts do. I have seen some amazing pits on the web. Hats off to those guys they really do some good work.

Have you tried to run 1.16.0 test version? It uses D3D9 and can manage that resolution.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I will soon be ordering the Cougar MFD pack.

I have a few questions. I've already done some trial& error testing on the multi-monitor mfd settings for EECH.
I've also done lots of reading on some forums about multi-monitor mfd setups. However ,there aren't any threads about it with EECH.

I won't be using any touchscreen. Obviously.
I'm currently running multiple monitors from the same video card.
I simply set export_mfd=1 in the EECH.ini file and it transferred the mfd images just fine.
(Not using the memoryexport option as it causes a crash or black screen ,probably due to not having anything else hooked up)

I want to buy 2 small 7" or 8" USB monitors to attach to the Cougar MFD's.
But I'm wondering if I am going to be limited to exporting the mfd screens to only 1 extra monitor rather than 2 smaller ones.
(export_mfd_adapter=0) This setting in the EECH.ini file seems capable to be set to only one adapter at a time.

I'm not familiar with some of this really technical stuff.

Should I just get a 16" usb monitor? Or is it possible to transfer the mfds to 2 smaller 8" monitors using one computer ? I would like to fit these under my primary large screen.
Also , Do your Cougar mfd's buttons work in EECH ?

Thanks for any help or advice. Your setup looks amazing ,and I can't wait to get this going.
