Are most of the Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One? - 11/01/16 08:17 PM
Greetings,
I played a lot of Links golf (PC) from Access software back in the day. It was a good beer and pretzels game. Very in depth regarding swing dynamics, ball address and stance to shape shots. After Access software sold out to Microsoft I purchased the first golf game from them, but it had lost it's charm. Later I started buying and playing the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games from EA Sports for the Xbox 360. They were good games and I enjoyed the ease of play and matchmaking on the console. From what I'm reading, the Tiger Woods golf games for the Xbox 360 are not compatible with Xbox One. If true, that is disappointing since the latest offering looks pretty weak in comparison. The Rory McIlroy edition is getting poor user reviews. There is not much out there anymore for golf games. Licensing is too expensive for the small developers so they use procedurally generated courses or use developer tools to craft their own fictional courses. That is okay, but the actual game play suffers in one way or another. I played one of the PC offerings recently and it was like getting in a time machine and going back 15 years.
Anyway, are most of the older Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One? If not it's not a big deal, but there are a few older games that I would like to revisit.
