who's getting Black Ops 2?

CoD Black Ops 2 comes out in 2 weeks or so... just wondering, who's getting it and what platform... and why, If you feel like replying.

Not getting this, I'm bored of the CoD games.

I'm too slow/old/lame for those gun-n-run games, the BF3 premium CQB add-on is as close as I come to them...

I'm not really into it anymore myself, but my daughter is...so have one pre-ordered... just wondering IF I'd have anyone to play with, didn't have too many with MW3.

BTW, said i wouldn't but picked up MoH WF for 360 for 30 bucks... the PC version has been growing on me, but getting ass handed to me playing with a gamepad.

I'm going to buy it just to have something in between breaks from BF3. Plus I haven't bought a COD game since MW2 back in 2009 (a life time ago!). Did borrow MW3 from a friend so that doesn't count. But yeah I'm getting it on or around release day.

I have it preordered for the 360, but I may cancel it. I just picked up BF3 premium for the 360 and Halo 4 is released on Nov. 6.

I'm just not sure. I've been doing a lot of PC gaming lately (Race 07, RoF, Cliffs of Dover, BF3, etc.).

This has gone from a "yes" to a "maybe" for me. I may not get it at all. I've got plenty on my plate at the moment.

My next 360 game will likely be Far Cry 3.

I might get Black Ops 2 eventually, but I don't see it happening before early 2013. And if it doesn't have "Combat Training", like the last one, then it's a definite "No".

I'll pick up on launch day. I hated MW3 at first but then I forced myself to play just to justify the $60 and I ended up putting a ton of time into it and recorded my best K/D ratio to date on any COD game. The mistake I made at first was constantly trying to compare it to BF3, which was completely unfair and unrealistic because the 2 games are night and day IMO. I really enjoy both games now for what they are and nothing more.

Now that I feel more confident against the hyper reflexed generation, I look forward to handing out some punishment and representing our generation!

I'm really torn on that one. No doubt I'm getting it, but while the 360 is better for co-op, I really want to see it on pc. If they stick with tradition, it should be a good system workout.

I'm pretty sick of COD games and I've never been much of a fan of the zombie mode. I still haven't touched the MW3 singleplayer and I bought that on launch day. (only played 2-3 hours of the MP as well)

I might leave this one for the twitch kiddies and their Youtube montages.

But who knows, something may change my mind by release day. It's happened many times before.

Not sure if you're interested but, believe it or not, the campaign in MW3 is worth playing. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Watching commercials of BO2 on TV now, with the ACDC song, Back in Black... sure looks different then the usual CoD, not gameplay wise but the future scene, which I'm not really into myself, but does look different.

I'll probably get it. I was mucho dissappointed that the sequel doesn't stay in the 60s or at least go no further than the 80s, but I really liked Black Ops some much so that it and COD4 are my favorites of the post WW2 CODS.

I believe there are some flashback missions ingame however where you a spec ops in the the 80s in the desert on horse back.

Two things I loved from BlackOps mp was the economy system and the dive mechanic. I like the economy system so much that going to MW3 mp was unpleasant and annoying. I've barely touched MW3.

I Don't know ! , I Voted Undecided,, But It seems like I always get this Crap !
Why ? I don't know, I guess I get it for those days when I'm burnt out on other games.
I enjoy the Hard Core Mode in COD, and The Last BO was one of the best COD games.
I felt it was the most Balenced COD ever done on Console.

There are Some New Points for this one that I find Very Interesting,, They are as Follows:

1. On console this will be the First Ever COD to make Connections Based strictly on PING !
Before, the match making had been done via region.
The last BO was the best connection sucess for me, that I had Ever found in a COD MP Hosting game,, Simply because I could pick "Find Matches in my area Only"
It worked well but still was not perfect,,, SO I'm very Curious to see how this one does.
If I can get better quality connections,, Then I may play it more,, But For me,, COD on console has always been hit or miss on Hit detection, because of the Hit detection ,, And when you find yourself Hosting a match ,, LOOK OUT !!! Your in god mode ! lol

2. This BO will have the Offline Bot Mode,, and I liked having that so I could Learn the Maps and get my old Thumbs Warmed up.

3. There is a New Skill Based system for Playing ranked matches,, This Lets you Supposedly play against more people at your skill level when playing ranked.. It basically takes your true skill rank and puts you into Different Divisions of Players Based on your True Skill.
This is Now a New option/feature. This also has me curious.

So there are somethings in this one that have me curious,,, Will I Bite on it? I don't know,, Probably ?
I do know THIS,,, It seems that all the snipers in MOH are NOW getting the 50 cal unlocked,,,,AND I'm starting to get Sick of that class Dominating the game ! That May Drive me to BO2's Stinky Unforgiving Arms !! LOL

Its becoming a fall tradition. Cool is in the air, Thanksgiving is coming, it gets darker sooner, football, thoughts of Christmas, and another Call of Duty on the shelves. I kind of like having a new COD to enjoy some easy to into mp and action single player experience. Though I've barely touched MW3, hopefully BLOPs2 will be good.

Treyarch make the best CODs - World at War, Black Ops but the teenage fanboys only like the MW ones for some reason.

I'm also tempted to get a new headset. I have a nice turtle beach set that cost me a chunk of change and it works fine but its one of those ones with an obscene amount of wires and connections. Any reccommendations? Do the little cheepy ones work well?

Oh, and I'm going to try to get some of those button extensions Magnum posted about. They look interesting. And if I can find some olive green or military grey ones they'll look cool on my black controller and help me feel all blackopsy.

within the elite app, which you can download on XBL, go to clans and search SimHQ

I work tonight, was going to go to the midnight release, but can't now... so will get it tomorrow, 10 AM but then work tomorrow night too, so won't play till wed and thurs... but thats ok because history usually shows that they can't handle this game the first few days of release, bandwidth wise.

I visited Gamestop shortly after 10 this morning to pick up my copy. There were about 15 people in line already and it stayed that way. I asked how the midnight release party went and they said it was a mob. BO2 is definitely selling like hot cakes. HALO4 just set a first day sales record. I'll bet BO2 beats it.

yeah Snake, I didn't dare go last night for the release since I knew I wasn't going to play it anyway. Picking mine up tonight around 8, crowds should be done by then!

I'm relieved that Combat Training is back and that it now has an Objective mode (3 vs 3).

I may end up getting this after all but it won't be for awhile.

Well, I can say this,, On the PS3,, the League match is the WAY to GO !!

1. The Connection Quality when using league match while playing SOLO,, is REALLY GOOD ! I mean I almost though I was Playing on a Dedicated Servers ! LOL
My Public Matches have however Been Standard Crap COD connections.

2. Make sure you set your Preference to "Best Available Connection" This works Way Faster searching in League Match then in Public match.

3. All the Weapons and Perks Are ALL UNLOCKED in League Match ! So Its a Great Way to Jump in and Get a feel for all the Loadouts you can create.

4. When you Use League match,, It Puts you in a division based on YOUR Skill level..
This really makes a HUGE difference, and I was Pleasantly surprised that I found myself Really Playing against people that were my Skill level ! This really let me enjoy the matches a Lot more.

SO I Highly recommend you guys try giving these New match making Options a Go !
It has really Made this Game for me, and I can say that I have been having more Fun with this COD then ANY OTHER COD! (well on Console)

Voted undecided yesterday. Went and bought it today for PS3. Part of me was torn because I'm still into GRFS and I bought the map packs, but I know alot of guys from work who are buying it. There is a large group of guys I know who just play COD exclusively, from title to title, like no other games exist. My attention span is not built for that.

I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet. Played some zombie mode just to get used to moving and shooting and started a campaign. So far, I like it. BO2 looks like a very polished product. I didn't try any MP games.

I picked it up tonight. Hope to start the campaign then ease into MP. Anyone playing tonight or tomorrow? Mag you said you had off tomorrow so do I. We could team up but I don't have whatever this Elite stuff is.

Coot, I am going to try to be on later tonight, but it all depends on when my son ends up going to sleep. I will definitely be on this weekend though. Also, they made Elite free so you should have access to it now.

Elite Should be free now, Unlike with MW3,, When you click on the MP or maybe play a match or two and then restart the game,, when you go into MP it will tell you how to do it.

Go to https://elite.callofduty.com

Register/ create a Account Then after you do that when you log into elite you Should see "LINK PS# or LINK XBOX 360"

Click on which ever system and then it will ask you to log in with your Gamer tag and Xbox or Ps3 password.
This then Links your Console account to the Elite web site.

Well I'm really enjoying BO2. I think its far better than MW3. I've barely touched that one. Black Ops is my favorite modern COD outside of COD4 so I'm glad they haven't dissappointed. I've started the Campaign and have gotten to rank 10 in mp tonight. Some of the maps have a great atmosphere to them and the graphics look and feel crisper and cleaner than MW3. I like the new animations too.

Still figuring out the custom class stuff but it looks like there's alot of variety to be had.

I'll be on tonight around 10 if anyone is on.

Might try to be on TopGun. Can't stay up past midnight though lol got to get myself to bed at that point.

Got the 360 version and played with the PC version around at my friends this afternoon!
Now i know again why i prefer consoles for pvp mp games. There might be not many hackers but for sure ppl are using macros like hell for jumpshot, dropshot etc. Crap like + cheating ruined pc multiplayer gaming for me!

Well I got CoD and cant really get in to it. Im just enjoying playing online with MoH Warfighter far too much to get in to BOII.

that's funny mailman, I can't stand MoH WF online. It's run and gun to the extreme IMO... I tried one night and shut it off. visibility is terrible

For sure the graphics are much better in BO2 but it just doesnt click for me, sadly as its one of the games I was hanging out for last year.

It just seems totally different that the previous MP layout which I liked. I know people complain that these games are always the same old thing, but I didn't like these changes and will need to trade it in asap.
