Looking for some advice

So I've been meaty high-end laptop'ing it for last few years for games. I'm finally getting the parts put in for my new gaming rig build, I had always assumed Arma would melt my laptop. I'd like to get back into ARMA3 with some mature teammates. Is there much play beyond the Saturday and Monday scrimmages? Is the SimHQ teamspeak still the preferable Voice com? Are there particular mods in use? Thank you, let me know if I need to dig for some uber thread for these answers, quick glance missed any.

There isn't much/if any play outside of Mondays now really i believe. There is a mod set we use (info from the sticky - https://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads....sessions-who-what-when-where#Post3732626 ) its a big download so i'd let it run overnight, if you already play modded arma then chances are you'll prolly have most of them already so that'll cut down the download size

Whoa Somehow I missed this thread. Thanks, Meatshield for answering.

If you intend to play with us eventually, you will need the Apex DLC, which contains the Tanoa island plus other assets. You will also need Global Mobilization DLC. If you don't have them, unfortunately, they were just on sale, but I believe the sale is over.

Also, Saturday sessions have been suspended, so only get the launcher pre-set for Monday. And yes, it's a heck load of addons.

Thanks for the info Saghan. I have apex. Bunk about GM, I chose not to get it due to reviews and price. I'll wish list it and see how that goes. Again thanks.

When you get your PC built, let us know. We have a couple of missions without addons that we could play, so you can get the feel of things before having to download 40GB of addons and get GM.
