Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 07/27/1506:18 AM
I suppose I've been on a bit of a Jane's kick latley...it took a bit of a struggle but I got USAF working pretty well on my rig that's in my sig. I have two installs going right now...one that is Super pro 9.4 that's a little buggy and one that is stock with some enhancements that seems to be running flawlessly.
Here's a few pics from a mix of both installs from Vietnam.

Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 07/27/1503:51 PM
Those Jane's sims really stand the the of time. I still have my copies of USAF, Longbow 2, F-15, and F/A-18. Although I don't fly them, I can't part with them for nostalgic reasons.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 07/28/1508:11 PM
WOW.. I got it going on my Win7x64 machine but it doesn't look nearly as good! Didn't load the Vietnam map, though, just working through training sorties at Nellis. Not happy with the flight performance. Aircraft seem to fly like bricks. I think I installed a stock version and the SuperPro version with similar results.
I'm sure I am missing some tweaks, but it reminded me why I never put much time into this sim when I decided to discover it, already long past its heyday once an updated NVIDIA driver magically made it work again on XP.

Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 07/31/1505:32 PM
Hi, everyone,
Just passing by and noticing this thread with great screenshots. I don't want to hijack it but I thought I'd add my two cents... There's actually a High quality mod by Tackleberry that enhances considerably the terrain textures, the clouds, and the range of view. You need to install it on top of the compatibility patch created by the same Tackleberry.
Here are some random screen captures (resolution : 1920X1200, just right-click and 'view image' to have a clear look at them)
Flying over Nevada :
F-16 nearing Baghdad City on a strike mission :
Some F-15E join the party :
Here's also a video I've made showing the mod in action. Nothing fancy, it's pretty basic. The link to the mod is provided in the video description : it's my Dropbox public folder. The files aren't going anywhere, so help yourself !
Jane's USAF is still a great sim to fly !
There you have it! I'm out, sorry for the interjection.

Andromedius...I don't think either of the files in the YouTube description are the HQ mod. One is the W7 fix...the other one is just a sound mod since it only has .wav files in it.
I have looked around and can't find the HQ terrain mod anywhere...the links are dead. Any chance you can upload the HQ mod to your dropbox? Would really like to try this out.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 08/02/1512:52 AM
Well, well, what do you know? I've just checked my Dropbox folder and found that for no apparent reason the file didn't get uploaded right. The file size should have been around 227 megs and should be named JUTPHQM.7z instead of JUSM.7z. It's definitely not the right one...
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 08/02/1502:03 AM
Any ideals on how to get better resolutions in USAF with an AMD card? If I hit the preferences tab in game it freezes the game. Now if I don't mess with the the preference tab in game USAF run's fine but is butt ugly Already tried the USAF configure exe in the main folder, it recognized my GPU card but nothing else.

A couple of things to try:
Download the file at this link and put it in your USAF folder and overwrite when prompted
Second, launch the USAF config and do not select your AMD card...just leave it on Primary display driver and hit the test button.
Give that a try. The great thing about USAF is that it supports any resolution reported by Windows without any hacks. I'm able to select 1920x1080 from the pulldown.

It my be worth giving what I mentioned above a try speedbump.
This patch is from January of this year so it has some new fixes in it.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 08/02/1504:44 AM
Well got USAF working at 1920x1080, even got my X52 HOTAS working through the players configuration file except I don't know how to assign any of the buttons without getting into the Preference Screen. Anybody have any ideal what can be changed in this configuration file?
P.S. Big thanks to Andromedius for the JUTPHQM.7z file. Tried many times to get USAF to run in the past with no joy but this file did the trick
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 08/02/1505:12 AM
Thanks Force10 much better now then my clumsy workaround USAF is looking great now that I can get into the Preference screen (and I can program my X-52 too) Joystick seems a little skittish especially on the runway, think playing with the Joystick Setting application would help?

Good deal!
I know what you mean about the joystick sensitivity...I haven't messed with the joystick app so I don't know how well it works.
If you find anything that works better...let us know!
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 03/24/1604:05 PM
Hi all, I am working on the new patch but I had not a lot of time, now. Please, be patient. Etc. I did editor for ptt and map files. You can extract all maps from there. Terrain maps have resolution over up 16000x16000 px.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 03/26/1611:34 AM
That's great news, indeed !
By the way, I'm really sorry I didn't reply to you, Mumtaz, and everyone else. I meant no disrespect. I was deep in the trenches at work and I haven't fire up a single sim/game for two months but I'm gonna get some free time at last so I'll gladly experiment with the patch.
@Mumtaz : For my last installation of USAF, I managed to get SuperPRo 9.4 working with the patch and the mod, but that was painful (the install instructions for 9.4 can be confusing to say the least). If I recall correctly, I installed Jane's USAF and SuperPro first then T4ckl3b3rry on top of it. Didn't get any specific issues at the time, but obviously with our beloved PC machines results may vary from one setup to another. Anyways, I'll get on it soon, so expect some feedback in the coming days. And, once more, sorry for the delay.
@T4ckl3b3rry : Thanks for the new patch ! Does this version implement fullscreen mode ?
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 03/26/1603:51 PM
Okay, here's what I got so far...
I reinstalled USAF with SuperPro 9.4 and the new patch.
I ran USAF in 1280x720 - it's a shame the fullscreen mode is still an issue, but I think for now we'll have to do with it.
Fluidity is excellent, and the view distance is great.
I'd really like to know how you managed to use Reshade in a DX6 game because I recall the developers stated that the downwards compatibility only extended to DX8 games. Anyways, I think that opens up a lot of possibilities, specially regarding the textures definition in the sim. Some tweaking in the Reshade configuration files could probably enhance the visuals. The lighting brought by REshade is definitely a plus for the sim, I particularly liked the effect on the horizon.
I also noticed I got some really good panel instruments reading in the 3D cockpit view (could be also due to Superpro,though...).
I added some random screenshots below to illustrate some of my observations. I'll try to upload a short video on YT in the coming days.
I'd like to end this little wall of text by thanking you once again for your time and dedication to this 'old bird'. I hope you understand how grateful I am for allowing me to play Jane's USAF again and I think I'm not wrong when, speaking on the behalf of many other virtual pilots, I encourage you to keep on digging and working your magic on our beloved old sims. It's really, really, appreciated.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 03/26/1608:12 PM
hey guys, in regard of my previous problem with terrain textures finally i've managed to fix it !
im not sure if anybody else has the same problem with terrain texture in orginal T4ckl3b3rry HQ Mode like me but anyways here is a screenshot of how does it look now:

Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 03/28/1611:03 AM
Hi, here is download link on new beta version of the patch. You can try mission like etc. SEAD. Don't remember deleted *.pal files in clouds folder after application this patch.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 04/02/1605:39 AM
Somethings wrong. If i run the USAF-Config, its inform me that using dgvoodoo driver. If i hit the "TEST", my machine is freezing with black screen, and thats all. Reboot. If i run the game, the menu is not in full sreen, just a smaller window. If i start a mission, it's just showing a big window with black. I hear all the sounds, but no visual, just the menu screen showing unclickabe on the top-left corner.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 04/02/1603:20 PM
Hi, Mumtaz,
Looks like something went wrong when you installed the new patch. I'd suggest you try again with a clean install :
- Obviously, Jane's USAF. - Official Jane's USAF patch 1.02 - Last T4ckl3b3rry patch (copy and paste the patch content into your Jane's USAF folder, overwriting older files). - Delete the *.pal files in the Ressource\3DObjects\Clouds folder.
You should be good to go!
After more investigation, I suggest you stay clear from SuperPro 9.4 for now. Though I've managed to get it working with USAF, it causes instabilities. Not worth it when trying out a beta patched version, IMHO.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 04/04/1603:20 PM
Then, I guess you're running into some weird issue with the sim and I'm at a loss to help you. Still, my best bet would be that something went wrong when you installed T4ckl3b3rry patch.
I also remember getting the black screen when I installed SuperPro after the patch, then again I eventually managed to get Superpro running with T4ckl3b3rry patch but it was too unstable. I'm currently testing the patch on top of a basic install (1.02) and I'm not experiencing any issues whatsoever. Maybe, you should try a new install instead of your backup version of Jane's USAF, who knows? doesn't hurt to try.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Fly Safe,
Andro
EDIT: Just a thought : did you check that your game resolution doesn't exceed your desktop's? For instance, 1600x1200 wouldn't be okay with a 1080 monitor. I currently use 1280x720 for my 16/9 1080 monitor. Whenever I want to use a 1600x1200 resolution, I have to down-sample my monitor to 2400x1800 or 3840x2160 in order to display the sim in a window. Works fine for me.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 06/03/1607:40 PM
Hi, guys!
Signs of good things to come for us, old Jane's USAF loving fellows!
A pretty short video featuring the last T4ckl3b3rry patch (including superpro 9.4, enhanced clouds and horizon and some interesting Reshade post-processing effects). After a successful airfield bomb-run, I gloriously end up in flames because I'm hardcore...
Some terrain options in the patch are disabled, so do not mind the blurry aspect of the runway. All in all, lots of fun, flies great, and the superpro 9.4 features add a lot to the game.

On the bright side, who needs GoG releases when Tackleberry's patches have got both IAF and USAF running on modern systems?
TSH v3.06 (hosted at www.VFA-41.net) keeps Jane's F/A-18 alive, and, my current fave WW2 sim?
Janes WW2 Fighters, runs like a dream on my Win7 rig straight out of the box. I can get lost for hours just browsing the museum and listening to that 40's big band soundtrack.
Of course, I'm lucky enough to have scored the original releases back in the day, so when all else fails I can just re-read those massive spiral bound manuals. Happy times, but hey, they're still here!
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/10/1610:59 AM
Hi, you can try my latest version of the patch. I also added my utility map viewer. Your resolution and other settings you can set in dgVoodooSetup located in USAF main directory. Instructions for Jane's USAF - Super Pro you can find in folder Docs in USAF main directory.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/14/1604:14 PM
Hi, I think it could be one from latest of my patch. This patch include two run files. USAF.exe for run in resolution with aspect ratio 4:3 or 5:4 and USAF-wide.exe for run in resolution with aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10. There was also optimized terrain streaming and compatibility. Install to Jane's USAF or Jane's USAF - Super Pro main folder. Later I will send link to one patch include this patch and one link to Jane's USAF - Super Pro include this patch.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/20/1611:49 AM
Superb work Tackleberry!
However I have an issue with the latest patch, it always hangs during transition from menu to game. but the previous patch posted on March works with both stock and SP 9.4 although the sim has to be ran windowed.
Also I'm a bit noob at running SP9.4, some planes (so far I observed, MiG-21 and F/A-18C) appears untextured and using certain planes (B-2) in QMB resulting in CTD while loading. Any fix for these? Lastly, are Soviet/Redfor planes not playable in QMB? I've tried putting MiGs (except Fulcrum) and Sukhois in the blue team but I can't fly them.
Anyway, thanks again now that I can finally play my favorite flight sim on Windows 10!

Hi, I play Jane's USAF without big issues with the miraculous Tackleberry's patches that Andromedius has pointed out to me. I'd like to play Super Pro 9.4 but I can't install correctly and the game doesn't run. What is the full procedure? What is the Tackleberry'good patch? Thank you for your answer. Sarginot

Have you tried running the USAF Super Pro Install path FIX in the Utilities folder first? Use it to set Super Pro's installation folder.
update: forget what I said about planes being untextured, it was the ReShade effect made it overly bright. Any solution for this?
@lesarginot Sorry for not being clear enough before, but this is the install path FIX executable I was talking about before
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/30/1606:34 AM
Hi, I don't know that it is caused by ReShade. You can try delete files "ReShade.fx", "dxgi.dll" and folder "ReShade" from USAF main directory for remove ReShade. I found this issue in Super Pro but not in base USAF.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/30/1602:27 PM
Turns out the "Specular Highlight" option was the culprit and not ReShade. Disabling it in the options menu (Graphics > Effects > Specular Highlight) fixed the whole mess.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 09/30/1602:55 PM
Hi, Thank you R72G and Tackleberry. My problems are not solved. Maybe it's a problem of installing. -1.Usaf :I don't see the Files Reshade.fx , dxgi.dll and the Folder "Reshade". I have installed : -Stock version of USAF,Patch 1.02F,Tackleberry Patch JUTPHQM. -2.Super Pro 9.4 I don't see the files :Usaf Super Pro Install path FIX.exe neither Launcher.exe in the folder Tools>Utilities. I have installed :Super Pro 9.4 :1,2,3,4,Mission Update1,Mission Update2, Super Pro Tools and the Patch JUSP.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 10/04/1602:11 PM
Hi Tackelberry; I uninstalled USAF and Super Pro because they do'nt run well with windows 10 (on my PC). -My procedure was : USAF + Patch 1.02F +Patch JUTPHQM Config. Patch and then Usaf.exe. Impossible to access at "Preferences"tab. -I'd like to know the exact procedure istalling Super Pro 9.4. I don't find the old UI Fix. What is your patch for this case? Thank you .
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 10/07/1603:42 PM
Hi Tackelberry, Thank you for your file.It is installed. I get the same screen as yours into the post of 27/09/2016 . When I want to run clicking "Start Usaf Super Pro", I received a message of no running. A small white square is displayed with: USAF at top left,at middle red circle with X,at bottom OK. I have to use the "Task Manager" to return to the desk. -(Impossible to send screenshots).
Thanks for the file. Sorry if this is a noob question, however I can not get it work.
I have executed jusp.exe and installed it to this directory: H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF
so I get USAF Super Pro installation folder at this directory: H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\Utilities\Original Super Pro 9.4 Files
and terrain folder here: H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\Resource\Terrain
however I still error message: "file not found" when I try to start super pro launcher. please advise.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 10/07/1611:27 PM
Hi all! In the first lines of want (to apologize for my English ) to say thank you for the work that you do. I discovered the USAF just two weeks ago and I love this game. This site, in my opinion, the only place online where this game not only remember, but love the patches from T4ckl3b3rry confirm my conviction that the ideal for me, the game gets even better - thank you so much again! Now the problem that I ask you to help me to decide. I have a laptop i3, ram 8, and two built-in video card: Intel HD 3000 and Nvidia GeForce 710m. Win7-64. Drivers are updated to the latest versions. The game is set in the order: USAF 2CD + patch 1.02 f + patch JUTPHQ (T4ckl3b3rry) + patch JUTPWSS (T4ckl3b3rry). In principle, all happy, but I noticed that the game runs in "integrated graphics hardware". Switched to "high performance Nvidia processor" - fps increased by 50 percent! In this mode, everything runs fine, however, in the cockpit, no matter what plane, quick flashing HUD, the number of chaff/flare, and all the green markers on the radar (numbers, points, etc.), everything else works fine. As you know, fps does not happen much, please, advise how to solve this problem?

Hi! I could be wrong, but were doing so - I unpacked this archive to any folder, then the Utilities folder, run the file "USAF Super Pro Install path FIX.exe" in which the first line of the prescribed path to Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF, and the second line - up to Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\Resource\Terrain. After that I started Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\usaf.exe all start as it should, try.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 10/08/1608:14 AM
Hi all, you can play with settings in dgVoodooSetup.exe located in USAF directory. More info about that you can find on the home page http://dege.freeweb.hu/ I recommend download my current setting file. You have to save in USAF directory. And set your self profile for USAF in your graphic card otions in Windows. For example: Antialiasing App Driven, Anisotropic Filtering 16x, Streched with keep aspect ratio etc. I recommend to do because for example when you set scaling mode in dgVoodoo, in game it is not working correctly. In dgVoodoo can be to set this item to Unspecified. My current dgVoodoo.conf: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2q4qAeNdhnrRmFNbXhoZnZ5TXc/view?usp=sharing I will integrate this config in my patch.
Second thing. This game was developed for resolution with aspect ratio 4:3 for best functionality. When you would play with aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10 you can run game by USAF-wide.exe. There is set higher FOV. But I recommend first option. For better compatibility you can off Specular Highlight in Preferences, Graphics.

Thanks for the reply fro4.
I have try to click usaf.exe directly but when I load a mission, it asks for usaf cd no.1, which I have already put in the cd tray but it is not detected,
and I have tried to put all these folder when I run pro launcher: H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\Utilities\Original Super Pro 9.4 Files H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF\Utilities H:\pcgame\janes usaf tackleberry\Jane's Combat Simulations\USAF but none of them work, I always get "file not found" error message.
so there is definitely something very wrong in my install. and I do not know what else to try so it seems super pro does not work with my system at all. too bad.

Hi, Tirta!
You did everything as I wrote? Strange... In this case try to remove everything related to USAF from the computer. Re-establish: USAF 2 cd + patch 1.02 f + file "JFA-IAF-USAF-Win7patch" (I don't remember where it was taken, perhaps even in this thread) after that, the game will run quietly without any disk. And then do exactly as I wrote the post above. Attempt - not torture, as we say. Although to be honest, I played in 9.4, and returned in the original game, not impressed for some reason.

but I have not tried super pro 9.4, so I am curious what does it do to the sim. so you are not fond of it?

This is an error due to wrong path of files in USAF super Pro 9.4. 3 files are needed to be modified to point to the correct USAF SP folders. This solution has been around since 2003 by McFly. Check it here : http://www.bobsyouruncle.net/adminsuperpro.htm

Super Pro 9.4 is great! Ability to fly almost all planes in the sim, fly helicopters, pilot tanks on the ground etc. Numerous armaments for aircraft loadouts. Been playing SP since 2003 when it first came out as "admin add-on" initially. But there are some errors for some aircraft loadouts. Like the Mirage 2000 series, the loadout has only 5 hardpoints but in real life the plane has a total of 9 hardpoints. And the internal fuel weight is wrong too. It's a pain to adjust these using the DME. But great mod anyways.
Where have you been all these while as Super Pro has been around for a while now! About 12 years or so. And you still haven't played Super Pro? Lol..... If you need more information about SP, go to Slikk's(McFly) website. It's still up after over 13 years! http://www.bobsyouruncle.net/mcflyhome.htm
And please do check the Super Pro 9.4 review right here in SimHQ!!! http://www.simhq.com/_air8/air_278a.html Are you guys that pathetic that you don't at least read the review of SP 9.4 before asking about it?
BTW there is another mod called MiniPro by COWAR. Check out their YouTube videos at the end of the SP review!

Hi!
I have downloaded all of your files, but what is the difference between: jup.exe, jusp.exe and juu.exe?
thanks to google translator, I could get what buttons to press.
if I could do suggestions: - hard/reallistic radar and cheff efficiency. According to many readings, even AIM-120 i not that good. - same for radar missiles. A miG-25 in 9 got shot from 6+ missiles. 4 sparrow and she wasn`t hit! - doppler notch: to hide from other radar when flying 90o degree from its radar beam.

It is full screen during flight, b) flying; I) the airplane does not appear on external view II) the HUD view is replicated on some MFDs III) it is slow. ormal USA runs beautifull. Win7 64 bit. Hi guys,
I love Jane's USAF and the great work of T4ckl3b3rry! I have installed USAF 1.02F + Tackleberry's Patch with widescreen support 01/02/2015 - JUTPWSS and the sim works very fine on Win10 in 1920 x 1080 res.
I have also tried installing USAF Super Pro 9.4 into another dir but the sim does not work. I must say though that the torrent that is in the network lacks of the following files:
Super Pro patch Super Pro Mission patch 1 Super Pro Mission patch 2
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 11/22/1605:20 PM
Hi guys,
I have installed USAF Super Pro 9.4 full (JUSP) + patch USAF-wide (JUU). Unfortunately it doesn't work on my system (Win10, Intel i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, RAM 16-GB, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2-GB). The start screen of the USAF is small and is not 16:9. The Preferences screen will not load and blocks the program. Fly-now starts but the screen is in low resolution, 16:9 but not full-screen, impossible to fly and move the mouse around the screen.

Hi, If you have downloaded jusp.exe, you can extract only to some folder, set directory via utility and run. In most cases, when you run the game first, you can see error dialog. You must run the game again, and the game could working. In the game are included all patches. You don't must install some. It can cause incompatibility.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 11/26/1610:34 PM
Hi! I have downloaded jusp.exe and, unpacked it, and got juu.exe and unpacked to the same folder (i put them directly to c:\program files and so on). All works fine (I hope so at least ) but I have a little problem: my monitor is NON-Wide but in old-style and usually I'm playing games in 1024-768, and an image i see here is either compressed from top and bottom, or has black zones on each side. Please tell me how I can fix this, I tried to run and USAF-wide.exe and USAF.exe but a result is the same. May be I must install some more patches or something? Before I played my old clean Jane's USAF and it worked fine and I never had this issue, and I dont know what to do...
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 11/27/1606:59 PM
Hi T4ckl3b3rry,
thanks for the support. I have reinstalled JUSP and launched the utility to set dir. The problem is that the utility crashes after a few seconds. I attach a screenshot.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 12/02/1609:19 PM
Hello, I'm having so much trouble getting Jane's USAF to run on windows7-64 bit, i7-3770 @ 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM 1600Mhz and NVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB. This was my installation procedures order... - Jane's USAF (2 CD) - 1.02F patch - Tackleberry patch (JUTPWSS, and I also tried another tackleberry patch from @Andromedius) - Run game, it works included preferences but when I load any mission or fly now it crashes to desktop with error and USAF has stopped working, click video for detail.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcdCXe2auqs
The game was running with same install on an older spec laptop i5, 4GB ram, ATI mobility HD 5470 with no problems. I have also tried the same install on another desktop i3, 8GB ram, intel HD 4400 graphics.. but the graphics are problem, click video for detail.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh1jerL9Khs
Now the problem with the NVidia GeForce GTX 660 is because driver is not updated to 331.65 or something else? How can I check and update if needed my driver version?
Please I need help. Thank you @T4ckl3b3rry in advance.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 12/11/1606:23 AM
Hi folks:
I've been trying to get this sim running for years on my win7 machine with no luck. That includes Tackleberry's super pro version which I've unpacked on my E: drive.
When I do a fly now (or any other mission), I get a window with the following error:
please insert USAF CD #1
I click ok and box repeats over and over as I click ok over and over. I did have my USAF CD in the drive. I removed the CD, and got the same issue. Then, I uninstalled USAF from my computer (installed on the c: drive also), and tried SP again, and got the same message to insert the CD.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 12/13/1608:43 PM
Looks like you have installed SP on top of a default install of USAF? Because SP is a standalone install and not a patch or update (if I'm not mistaking) so just install SP as it is in E or C and adjust the fix path, pretty sure the game would run without inserting cd1, I have yet to try it I will soon and report back how it went with me.
UPDATE : success with SP, I was able to get in gameplay but few problems... 1 - the frame rates fps are really really low, like about 15 or something like that 2 - Resolution of 800x600x32 or 1024x768x32 are very small, almost like windowed mode. 3 - I installed SP in C/program files, I want to install it in X/USAFSP what exactly do I need to change and set the files for it to work?
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 11/30/1712:30 PM
Nice! Man I can't even get Jane's USAF to run on my WinXP machine! It used to. Doesn't anymore though. I quit trying to get it to work some time ago but, would really like to get it up and running again.
Re: Jane's USAF on Windows 7 64-bit - 02/06/1803:33 PM
I have a little problem, when I am in the campaign menu I see "Vietnam" but when i try to switch to the desert storm the game crashes to Windows. So the same thing in the modern section- I see the red arrow but it crashes on the sleeping giant. The second issue is The game crashes when I click on the single missions, I cannot enter it at all. And one more question- how many new single missions the mod have?
