Sad, but it looks like and old boy tired of life decided to use equipment of an army he may have been a part of to assist his suicide. Sad, but maybe he felt he wanted to go with dignity.

Now the crew of that vehicle will have that event haunt them for the rest of their lives. Not to mention the rest of the people there. There is no greater act of selfishness than suicide.
