Altis, the big island in ArmA3

Tried to film it but frames took a hit while recording at Ultra settings... so some screenshots instead... it's HUGE, and I see a lot of targets, ambush sights, and future battles as I tour the island for my new home location.

NP, love the ground level shots, that was next for me... working on some scuba diving shots but nothing found yet thats cool... so if anyone finds some nice wrecks or something, send the location.

How do I DL Altis? I paid for and have been playing the alpha/beta.

Under "Properties" on ArmA 3, there's a tab called betas. Select the development build option and close.

Should start to download automatically.

Wow. Looks fantastic. Lots of open terrain that might lead to some great tank battles.

I am very impressed. Just did a quick flight around the island and got smooth FPS (40+) at high settings with 2.5 km visibility. Looks fantastic and offers a lot of ground for interesting action.

That's the major airport terminal.

Yeah, that's the main airport terminal basically in the middle of the map.

Damn that looks impressive. Will there eventually be people there, military and civilian?

You can place units on the map yourself, but placing that number of NPC's would grind your system to a halt. Even top of the line systems are taxed to the max right now without "ambient" NPC's.
