Here's a poll running at Netwings... It looks like CFS3 has got some uphill work to do. This is a poll taken at a site where people are generally supportive of the CFS series; in other words, these are mostly people who *want* to like CFS3. Further comments can be found at: http://www.netwings.org/dcforum/DCForumID27/1184.html Jonny

Well Jonny_C, I think MS can simplify their uphill battle if they make a proper hill selection.
If I were them I would select their CFS3 White Cliffs of Dover.
Sorry CFS3ers, I could not resist.
I do not have and will not buy CFS3 and here is why.
I have CFS1.
It was released in the EAW, WWII Fighters, SDOE herd of WWII flightsims, right?
I also have all of those and each is superior to CFS1 Graphically and overall gameplay.
CFS2 caught up in graphics but failed in most other areas, I did not buy it based on statements around the web from players. I do not rely on the "Mainstream Reviewers"
I wanted (really!) CFS3 to break the MS mold because I desperately need a BOMBER fix. After the B17-Whatever fiasco and the demise of bomber play in Aces High and even though they are not B17s, the U.S. Mediums would have been enough to garner a purchase for MS....if the game worked without a degree in computer science or reliance on the skills and goodwill of players around the world dedicated to fixing MS stuff.
I keep track of Netwings too just because it is a hub for MS simmers and was surprised at the negativity and not surprised by the disappointment there.
I hope MS will at least try to make CFS3 playable and fix the most glaring problems for you guys....good luck.
The new: "CFS3, Will it ever get out of the ICU?" is my new fave online soap.
"SF-P1, Will it Survive The Wal-Mart Affair?" is my second.
Looking forward to the upcoming expected Smash Hit: "Forgotten Battles, Will the Bandwagon Sustain the Signature Block Load at Ubisoft Forums?"
It's a great time for those of us relying on flightsim forums for entertainment, eh?

Jonny Couldn't have said that any better Jonny. Follow the sheep statements don't make you an individual Sunchaser -if we all had the same feelings and ideals about sims/games then we would all be playing the same wouldn't we? I have over 200 going on 300 sims/games and everyone of them has something that floats-my-boat but NONE have EVERYTHING that i want out of a sim/game. IL-2 has a brilliant flight model LET DOWN by a CRAP...campaign. Nothing is, or ever will, be perfect for everyone. The idea is to make the decision yourself and not others for you... ------------------ Check out my Customised/moded PC "Flying is the second hardest thing known to man.........the first is landing!"

I wonder how many people that voted actually owned the game? It doesn't matter how many people that you've heard about that can't run the game. You will only know by trying it yourself. Chances are no matter what kind of system you have, you need to start all the graphics options at min and work your way up.
The best part of CFS3 is in the gameplay. The campaign battlefield is alive and very immersive. I've seen nothing like it in other flight sims. All those people who refuse to play it are missing out.

45% contented and above versus 52% disapointed and below. I find this to be both unconclusive and evenly matched, not discouraging. Also, there is a missing 3% wich i will chalk up to margin of error. Ranger
