What kind of system do I need to get the option to put the graphics on high?
I have a Dual Core processor running at 3.0 ghz with 2 Gigs of Ram and a GeForce 7600GS with 256 DDR3 ram...
Thanks...

Hi Grunt,
You need a graphics card with 512MB RAM.

Ugh...that sucks! and I just upgraded to the 7600GS from a 6200...at least I can run it smoothly at 1024 x 768 now...

On the bright side, I have heard that the medium textures are indistinguishable from the high textures unless you have time to really stop and look at them.
It is good that the developers are looking to keep their games pretty as hardware improves (phy-x support and these high textures). Given my experience with OFP, where you were able to crank out the view distance to 5km if you had a beefy enough rig, by the time the hardware to do this arrives, however, we'll all be wanting the next-big-thing and the game will look old no matter how good the textures are (though texture quality is my one big problem with most older games!).

I upped all graphics options to high in the render_settings file and I got a 256MB card and it never slows down.

Although you probably wont understand too much about Coop, if you've got the PC version I was expecting some exhibition of PC snobbery, after my post. I didn't expect it from you though.

There are certain things you can change via the xml file. One area I've noticed right away is the Ghosts' arm patches look better on high than medium. However, I only have a 256MB card and if I put the ground on high I get black checkerboard squares and screwed up distant buildings. You have to pick and choose which ones to boost to high.

Because they don't want the deluge of tech support emails from people who have experiences like Jedi's. The game isn't designed to run at high detail with only 256MB of VRAM. That isn't to say that it won't, just that it wasn't designed to. That being said, kudos for having it all shiny!
