I guess most developers regard the modelling of reloading as being an unnecessary hassle that will only marginally increase the fidelity of a sim whilst simultaneously increasing the aggravation factor (110s aren't that easy to fly against single-seaters in the 1st place without running out of ammo and having to reload).
I have to agree.
If one ever finds something that would require extra programming to accomplish (like reloading a gun instead of just giving all the ammo at once), and this feature only appears in one game of many - it is better to assume that the one game has done it correctly, because they are the ones that put in the extra work, and no one puts in extra work for no reason.
