One of the great aspects of this sim is the variety of In-Game movies and slides that show from time to time. For example, moving from one base to another, AA demonstration film, escapes from prision, new aircraft introduction, discipilinary action (never have understoood why I kept getting roused on! \:\) ) and so on.

Does anyone know where within the RB folders these are all stored? And is there a viewing tool that can be used just to view them? Even after all these years of flying the sim I still don't think I've seen every film/slide.

I always get the disciplinary action thing after attacking aerodromes. I think if you shoot a guard tower or ambulance you get it. There have been times, however, that I was extra careful not to hit those targets and I still got the warning.

I think if you shoot up a Hangar, sometimes the bullets will go through and accidentally hit an ambulance on the other side. Thats the only thing I can think of.

They are in the ~\Data\Video folder. If you have not moved them over to your hard drive to play without the CD, they will be on your game CD. You can view them with the QuickTime player. There are a lot that I had never seen. The only briefing movie I ever get in the game is the ground gunner, but there others that never seem to play.

Thanks BB.

Lucky_1 you may be onto something there about aerodrome attacks. I'll have to watch it. \:\)

WOW! Some of the briefing screens concern tanks, being hung (Cripes - whaddya do to get that punishment?), labour detaail, prison, firing squad, ballons being shot down, bombers, to name just a few.

Brilliant! \:\)

But does anyone know why many of these films don't show in game?

This sim just rocks! \:\)

S! Pips

You probably haven't been naughty enough to trip the triggers. Try shooting down your own bombers, straffing your troop positions or riddling your home drome HQ with bullet holes! ;\)

The first time I installed the old Beery Patch, I didn't know how to use the Campaign Manager with it. When I shot at enemy planes, the game kept telling me I had shot friendlies. I shot them down anyway, and at mission's end, I was tried and sentenced to life in prison!

The briefing films set in a briefing room can only be seen in the Intel selection on the Campaign menu. I'm going to check more often to see if the ones I haven't seen appear.

You can listen to the spoken briefings that go with them in the Shellsnd folder. British, French and German briefings are indicated by B, F and G initial letters in the .wav filenames.

Lol Pips! No, I have to admit that I have only been reprimanded for the "drome" thing and "accidently" wounding one of my flight. I was just guessing about the rest. Never knew they existed. Stands to reason the punishment will fit the crime though! ;\)

You will get reprimanded attacking a drome even on Full Auto Pilot. Anything except a hanger or gun position will get you reamed.

That is interesting Skiddmark. I usually only go for gun positions during these attacks. You don't get into trouble and reduce the possibility of losing wingmen. It is also good practice for online matches.

Well, I learned something out of this. When you go to the Campaign manu and click on Intelligence, and then Intelligence Reports, you can get more than one report per campaign. I always just clicked it once, got the ground gunner report, and thought that was it.

The manual says on page 41, "You will be shown a short intelligence film...", and, "When you are finished viewing the film, click the Done button."

Just to see what would happen, after I clicked Done on the ground gunner film, I clicked the Intelligence Reports button again. Lo and behold, I got a whole new film.

I was able to view six different films this way. At a different time or flying with a different air service, I imagine I could view several other films. That is where these films have been hidden away, PP!

By the way, PP, you must have forgotten, you were hanged once!
