Just cross-posting Pat's announcement on his Western Front Patch forum at Delphi:

"Get it at:

http://www.swwisa.net/wfp/WFP70.exe

This is a self extracting exe. Point it at your Redbaron3D (not CM11\patches) directory and install it. It will extract into Redbaron3D\Cm11\patch3es\wfp70. After that, open Cm11 and install the WFP70 patch. I highly recommend installing into a fresh install of RB.

Uses Greybeards latest FM.

Replace Fokker D.VII skins with skins provided by Greybeard (same but with adjusted radiator).

Add SPAD VII views from HA to incorporate windshield

Fix error in aircraft assignment of Jasta 13 to avoid Fokker Triplane appearing in May 1917.

Add new title screens to WFP.

Add clocks to aircraft cockpits.

Some DM corrections."

http://forums.delphiforums.com/TheWesternFront/messages?msg=1158.1

Early feedback has been very positive. The DTD's that some experienced in late '16 and early '17 with 6.X are no longer occurring. Pat has made Greybeard's latest flight model the standard FM for WFP 7.0. Players report that not only do the aircraft handle more convincingly, but AI pilots seem more able with it as well. And we are all glad to have our clocks back!

If you own a Red Baron 3D CD and have not played the game in a while, you owe it to yourself to try this patch. It takes a little tinkering to install and use, but I guarantee that you will be impressed. You will need to have Cm11, (the Campaign Manager), installed before you can install the WFP.

As ever,
Birdbrain

I've been waiting for this Patch with bated breath. Thanks for the heads-up Birdbrain. \:\)

Wow! A 28meg d/load.

Does this Patch replace in total the basic 6.0 Patch? Or is it installed on top of that patch?

It is a new patch, including the old 6.0 patch plus improvements. You should uninstall the old patch before installing WFP 7.0, and then set the game date with CM to August 1, 1915 before you create a new campaign.

Hi BadOgre!

Whatcha been up to? Heard from Jolly lately?

AWM? I must be going blind, I can't see it mentioned anywhere in any of the posts. \:\)

The only place that I know of with those initials however is the Australian War Memorial.

Birdbrain was the name I first took here. But then I joined a Hun squad and changed it to von Kesselberg. As my interest spread to other sims, posting as a Prussian nobleman in a jet sim forum or a helo sim forum felt kind of strange. Anyway I was weary of the Hun thing.

Good old Jolly. I used to stay up late enough to see him in the servers.

In your profile....."Amateur Historian, Occasional Author For The AWM". Guess you answered my question! \:\)

Jolly is still out and about. He is a member of the *ÅÅ* now and he has lately been doing a lot of testing of Greybeards FM. You can spot him in the servers still.
