I installed RB3D on my Fdrive and it's fine except that I have to go into the graphics and set to glide every time I sart the game.

I made another install on Gdrive so that I could run the Hells Angels patch and this time I had to reset to 1024 every time I started the game.

What is going on here and can I cure it?

Also, I thought I'd uninstall the game from Gdrive so I went to the folder itself and ran uninstall from within it, so why has the game gone from the start menu, that was the Fdrive install

Sounds like your rbprefs.dat is set to read-only

That's odd then usually is the culprit. Are you using Ren's XP start utility then? If so stop, run RB without it, setup how you like, then go back and use it.
