Most of these snaps were taken "on-the-fly" from the cockpit, with few pauses or composed shots. The results are not as artistic, but convey perhaps more of the flavor of air combat. I was surprised by my fatal dead-stick landing. I had not expected the D.II to more-or-less fall out of the air the way she did, thinking I was low enough to bring her down safely. Oltn. Blechschmidt got 2 kills and survived wounded. I got 3, but died, as did the other two pilots in our flight. So I guess we won...
