OK, I have been reading some threads for newbies and did what was recommended. I installed Glidos and after that the framerate is very slow. Is there something else that I should do? I added the HA patch after that and still no help. Is it because of my computer? I have a 1 gigahertz Pentium 3 with 256 RAM and 32 meg video card(Nvidia Geforce 2 MX) I thought because this game had now requirments and I should have no problems with it but I'm finding otherwise. Anybody please help?

I believe Glidos is a very hungry beast and you probably need higher specs to run it.

Really unsure about your system specs? Pushing the line thats for sure according to all reports.

In Single Player SP try

-turning off sun glare
-minimizing graphics to get started

Massive Multi Player MMP

-turn chat off or increase scroll speed
-Promised land has a reallity patch which removes all text prompts
-Once again lower graphics quality
-Use large pic blocks or something

The thrill in RB is the duel not the graphics anyway. With the exception of Glide VS DD

Comparing the out-of-the-box graphics with present standards makes going back impossible,even reducing game setting graphics.
The graphics is very important,that's why BrainWave is using GLIDOS.
You can have high graphics in DD or crap graphics with GLIDOS,you can't win without a new machine or a Voodoo card. For me it's high graphics in DD
Ren's NEW STANDARD stock vol and DeltaK's PL terrain converter did wonders for DD.

That's the same processor and vid card my dad had. He couldn't use Glidos even after bumping ram to 512. He got a Voodoo 3 at Ebay, then had to upgrade to WinXP when he couldn't get it to work with WinMe. He has great rates now.

Of course, you chose "Glide" in the Preferences, yes?
