I just get into position and "FIRE ONE" CRASH and Reboot! Or I move my crew and CRASH! Just this game and BiA. All other games run great. Any one els this problem? My card is a e-GeForce 6600 GT.

I too am getting alot of game CTDs (though no reboots have been required). So far they have happened in single missions and campaigns.

Shot in the dark, but do you have hardware sound cranked up to full?

I had a couple of CTDs before I backed it down a notch, and now am stable....

I'm getting repeated crashes whilst managing the crew - had at least 6 last night and every one trigged by pressing the 'surface cruise' configuration icon.

Oh yeah, me too. It's sporadic though - just enough to make me nervous about working with my crew. Half dozen crashes (CTD) in the last few days.

Yep, was doing the Scapa Flow mission. rounding the southern bend and got a destroyer contact. dove to periscope depth and got message that I needed more crew in the battery/electric engine (can't recall exactly). hit the button for cruise and got a black screen with a sound loop in the background. had to ctrl-alt-del to close the game but no reboot.

I get ctd's whenever I order crew to the deck gun/flak using the F7 screen or the Watch Officer menu. It happens in campaigns, single missions and the tutorial. The other crew configurations seem to work fine.

The strange thing is, it worked fine on a fresh install, but the problem returned after a day of playing (not using any mods). This makes me suspect that there may be some file corrupted...
I also made a new player profile but the ctd's still happen.

I had one CTD on my 4 day journey to the patrol area. I check and rotate the crew every 6 hours.

Anyway... I think mine was linked to gramophone playing. I noticed it was clipping off the end of songs when I was in time compression. It clipped 4-5 songs, which at the time I thought nothing of, and then CTD. I'm not sure if I was moving crew at the time or not. I relaunched the game and played it solid for 3 hours with the gramophone turned off.

I don't know if they're related yet. That was just my experience.

You may be on to something... People on the Ubi forums are reporting they solved their ctd's after turning off in-game music or lowering the audio acceleration, even if their ctd's did not seem sound-related. I'll give it a try.

Ran the same mission tonight, did not turn on gramaphone and manually moved crewmen.

No crash.

Oh and made sure I ran EndItAll before I started.

Turning off music and sound acceleration had no effect on my ctd's. I'm trying a different route now. Since the ctd's only occur some time after a clean install I think there may be some file corruption going on.

I now save the game in different files instead of overwriting old savegames. See if it helps. So far so good.

About the CTD's, I have them when I'm in crew management mode also.
Maybe it has something to do with whether you bought/obtained additional crewmembers at port and it doesn't know how to manage so many?....dunno.

My CTD's are fast and clean.

All of a sudden I'm looking at my desktop...and lose all of the mission I've played to that point...no save.
Irritating.

I now save often.

Also...I've had to exit the game a couple times when I was in the outside view mode...F-12.
The left side of the screen 'pull outs' didn't function, they just disappeared, and I couldn't access it anymore. When I went back into the ship via keyboard....the bottom of the screen was also gone. Wierd.
Restarted the game from a save and it was fine.
Happened twice.

Great game though...even with all the problems.
Hope they patch it.

You probably accidentally hit Keypad 0 (or is it .) This toggles the GUI off. Simply press the key again to bring it back

I've been playing 3 days straight with no ctd's now (touch wood). Apparently it helps to use different savegames instead of overwriting them.

I haven’t been able to play the game enough to know if it is any good or not. My system is no slouch and it runs MoH Pacific Assault flat out. I have Silent Hunter set to the lowest graphics setting and nothing but crash city.

Every time I play for more than an hour or so, I get a CTD . . .
