Trying to run a RB server from a home LAN (server ran fine before putting LAN in).

Running the server on the gateway computer, I can see it, but nobody else can in the RB MMP Available Games window... I can see it via the old WON launcher java applet, but the IP listed is an internal one (192.168.etc). Another squad member is trying to set one up, has a LAN as well, and has the same problem.

The .scs file is configured "UDP" and I've tried leaving port settings at 0, 47800, and 47801 to no avail. This happens whether or not I have a firewall running - currently using Zonealarm on the gateway computer.

Any suggestions?

I have a LAN too but I'm presently using a modem to get to the Internet. The modem's TCP/IP is set to get the IP dynamically. The network card has a fixed 192 non-routable IP.

Why does the WON link list the IP as the 192 one and how do I/we get it to do it right?

You have to get your Nic card to show your real ip. This is a problem in the server software. I have the same problem to. In order for me to run my server I have to disconnnect my computer from my LAN and plug it into my dsl modem. And change some network settings. One option and the only other option I know will work is getting a seperate ip for the computer you want to run the server on. But thats hard to do in some instances.
