or, maybe someone else knows the answer as well... i will cut and paste soes ya don't havta go over there:

well, there is conflict. the instructions in the web page, option 2:

http://www.fsww1.com/

state install fsdoe, 1.5, pp4all-in-one, then 1.606.

the instructions on the "here" link for the pp4all-in-one:

http://www.fsww1.com/AllinOne.html

state fdsoe, 1.5, and 1.606 are required before installing pp4all-in-one.

can someone answer the correct order for install? i am trying to get all set up again...

EDIT: Nevermind the below. for some reason my seperate install had the path incorrect in the sdemons.ini - and writing this helped me figure out why! i copied the sdoe folder to fs-ww1, but did nto update the path after i copied and before installed the fs-ww1 stuff and the patch! still, a ww1 themed into movie would be cool...

also, for ww1 only install will the squadrons show up with German briefings on the squadron selection screen? with ww2 pics of planes? i.e. JG1 Udet talks about WW2 stuff in the text for JG1. same for the rest. not sure if this stuff was changed for FS-WW1?

same with radio playing in UI? WW2 themed...

intro movie? WW2 themed...

sorry, it has been a long time and I don't remember what it should look/sound like and am wondering if the install method I used is incorrect. Thx again!

The volume control..... ;\)

REally, though, no. The sounds should be loud. You are supposed to be sitting just behind a large capacity engine with virtually no silencing, with roaring wind noise and clattering unshrouded valve gear!

yes, but it is irritating to others and i really don't need the engine sound being that loud. i know, i have flown planes...so i don't need that reality at my desk... \:\)

so no go on just turning down the engine sound... \:\(

If you're fluent with bits and prepared to dig under the hood, it might be possible to do, but it wouldn't be trivial, although probably not too terribly difficult either. If you pop open the par file that has the sounds in it, and you could find the right one (or ones, there might be a few engine sounds - I've never looked), you could probably make a copy of it rerecorded at a lower volume, which you don't have to repack into the par file you can just have it in the "sounds" folder, so you can then retweak it easily if necessary; the individual file will trump the par file.
