I am planning on picking up OIF but was wondering if PSF is worth $10 for a jewel case version. I didn't play hornet Korea.
What were some of the bugs I have seen mentioned for PSF. (I saw something about a fuel burn issue but that's it).

I have CH Manager for a USB throttle, stick, and rudder.

Many thanks,
Charles

One of the biggest issues was that the aircraft could not be flown in a single engine in non afterburner if you took damage to one. Also avoiding missile hits was very difficult if not impossible.

Other comments were no moving, pitching carrier. The carrier is stagnent even though the wake appears to make it look like it is moving.

There were a few others. I finally bought PSF at CompUSA after it was there in the discount bin for about a year ($9.95).

By the way, the only thing in the OIF is a case and CD. The simulation can be played without the CD being in the drive and the manuals are PDF files. Graphsim always did have a good manual - 131 pages for the basic sim, another 20 pages for threats, and more for the mission builder.

I think the carrier is still stationary and doesn't pitch or roll.

Same is true for the single engine capability.

Also, you still don't get credit for all your kills.
