As someone stated before "GraphSim is so out of touch.."

Such a shame they are TOTALLY clueless in the marketing and P.R. department. They could really generate some sales and interest if they would send someone over here for an hour a week to answer questions and post some screen shots. Ridiculous. Why put all that effort into programming and developing (or reprogramming and redeveloping) if you aren't going to go that little extra distance to actually (ahem) correspond with your target audience?

Just awful..

Hello BeachAV8R
I think one of the things is that GSC is such a small company, they have a staff of only 5 and not all know/work the Hornet series flight sims.

Let me say that Trey has been inspired to make more improvements to Hornet Gold than you seen in the 1st demo. But what GSC decides to release we shall see.

In all the PC Gold ver of Hornet Korea is way better than what the Mac guys got

Actually there is ONE person working on Korea - Trey Smith. And he's working on it along with at least 2 other projects concurrently that I know about. He certainly doesn't have time to come answer questions.

GSC has 5 people TOTAL in the company and they are publishing 6 titles, of which all but one are Mac titles. To expect to see alot of resources poured into supporting an update on random flight sim forums and newsgroups is probably going a bit too far considering.

I don't know why your emails haven't been returned from support, Crash (you did try support I assume?). But if you want to email me your questions I'll see if I can get them forwarded directly to Jeff or Trey.

I'm at Jonblum1@home.com
P.S. Pretzel, what was it you wanted to talk about? email me...

Hey Varmint

Since you still have such good relations with GSC, maybe you could get a subcontract from Trey to act on their behalf visiting and posting stuff in the various Sim Sites. That would give the potential buyers a boost as well as get a few coins into your pocket too!

Any of the other "past GSC'ers" still in contact with Trey?

I E-mailed GSC about the possible release date a couple of days ago. I got an Email from one of their people (an Amy Scroggins)today saying "they hope to release it in another month". Lets just hope thats "next month" as opposed to "one sometime next year"

I wouldn't call publishing a few lines of Press Release "pouring resources". And I'm sure to zip up a couple more screen-shots to whet the appetite and e-mailing them to SimHQ, CombatSim & Dogfighter.com wouldn't take very long. There was a fairly large stir of interest when the initial series of HK-Gold screens and demo was released, but not a peep since...

Just my opinion on marketing and hoping this sim will take off again : )

They should take a minute out of their busy schedule and update the graph sim site. Then post updates to keep the customer informed.I am sure a few minutes spent on this will reward them down the runway. Customer Satisfaction is what it's all about.

I can't really argue with any of that. I think they should get more involved myself. I was just trying to point out that it's not often easy to do that with so few people.

Hopefull they'll hire somebody else now that they have a few products out.

I can see GSCs office from my office window. It is literally across the North Dallas Tollway from me.

I will drop in and see if I can find anything out. I bought my copy of HK from the office, actually.

Will post what I find out on Monday.

According to Amy Scoggins of GSC (just exchanged emails) it will be out in 4-6 weeks.
