The Desert Terrain (ie, the Hornet 3.0 terrain) has 3d textures? ala Korea?

Hornet, like I said, is a sweet sim to have on my hard drive. I don't think it needs a huge overhaul, but it needs a few changes to expand its range, its grasp and so on. It doesn't need to go up against Jane's F/A-18, but it would be nice to have things like larger missions and a tweaked FM. (and allied ships. Seriously. That carrier has got to move!)

As for Hornet 4? Ask to license the Falcon 4 code. Work with the eTeam. Add HK style Hornets, carrier and 3d ai aircraft shapes. Sell results for 40 dollars with an expanded HK manual (BTW: the HK manual is a must for any simmer).

How about cockpit reflections and wingtip vapors? Should be easy, and adds to those sims which have it.

I'm not sure but I think some of the AI planes in Hornet 3.0 had wingtip vapors. Not much really, just a white arc. I'll check tonight though.

They were even less impressive than I thought. They're grey, very short and do not arc.

Jon, any chance all these features going into Windows Gold will be put on the Mac?

Hmm, Sorry, but I have no idea if GSC is planning to update the Mac version. I suppose it's possible since the code base is pretty much the same, but I haven't heard either way.

Iv`e switched to DI`s Gold Super Hornet. It`s leagues above Korea....Check it out. It`s cheap and the new theatre is nice with the scenery update/voice deletion patch for India as well.

I would like to see the contrast "turned up" when using the FLIR. As it stands in H3K, it is so dark as to be unusable.
