Wow!
Looks VERY impressive. I'm definitely going to re-install Flashpoint and try this out once I've downloaded it.
It's "only" 135MB plus a 5MB patch which is much more feasible to download over a 56K than most other Flashpoint "total conversion" mods.

I've been hoping for a "comprehensive" WW2 Flashpoint mod for some time.
There are loads of very well-modelled vehicles and infantry units available for download, but the trouble is since they're all made by different modders, you often get problems with balancing, compatibility, model scaling etc. There was a "WW2 mod pack" released a while ago, but it's over 500MB and in any case the download link seems to be broken now.

I will have to give this one a go once I get home this week.

Re; the WW2 pack your on about I downloaded it only this week !. Not at home at the moment so I cant supply the link but I found it after a Google search. Not a bad pack and it installs into its own folder with its own executable. Noble effort but a drag at nearly 600 mb.

This New one looks pretty good, like you say the different modellers and mods in the Big WW2 pack(while excellent and way beyond anything I could ever do !) dont provide continuity.
I like the sound of the damage model in the Lib 41-45 rather than accumulative it sound like its more effect based

Long Live Flashpoint !

I installed the mod last night and patched it to 1.01. I'll be playing it extensively tonight.

To all those involved in making the mod, I'd like to say SPASEBO! ;\)

I did a test run

I played the two missions that came with the patch
a little to lagged out for my taste
unless you have a monster PC their will be little joy

I also did a test run in a tank
I took my T-34 up against a dozen german tanks
and wiped them out without a scratch
unless their is a problem with my install of the mod the tank damage modelling is porked

Still no joy \:\(

a while ago
I made some missions with an earlyer release of the T-34/76's against T_Roc's Tiger Pack
it seemed like a nice balance between the two tank addons.

I finished both single player missions that came with the mod and they are fantastic. My frame rate did take a big hit though when there were lots of explosions on my screen.

My rig:

AMD XP 3000+
1024 Dual Channel RAM
ATI X800 Pro
DX 9.0c
Windows XP Home
5.6 Catalyst drivers

Been tinkering with this all week. It has to be the most effective mod to come out for OFP. The game play has improved 10 fold. You can now fight a tank battle and you have to manouvere and get the shots in. Love the damage system. Its the game now that Panzer Elite should have been. Infantry engagements at long ranges and beaten zones. Very convincing. Urge you to try it if your an armour fan. Going up against the KV1 and 1e with a 37mm armed PzIII is tense to say the least.

The speed that vehicles travel at seems to be have modified leaving the advance to contact more believable. Tank and APC Pathfinding is still the flashpoint original but I dont want to complain.
88 flak 18 great in the ground role and airburst anti aircraft effects.

Infantry squads with anti tank grenade bundles that may or may not work but you still have to stalk up close to lob them in and the AI will go for it when they can which is quite disconceting when your buttoned down and you dont have the Uber radar view. Views and magnification and sights gibe a great closed in sense to the armoured crew aspect. Tracer and ballistics just that bit more convincing and cool hit effects on vehicles.

OK you sold ? Im a fan.

Q - does this mod, disrupt the basic game? I.e. can I still play resistance for example?

no disruption to expect, and it is really a great mod.... for OFFLINE, because it is awfully laggy online, too bad for the big tank battles i expected with my PF squadmates \:\(

It installs to a seperate folder within Flashpoint. You tag the executable line with a pointer to the folder and it loads flashpoint from a seperate Icon.
So you basically have a completely seperate game.

Resistance works just the same as it did before.

Simple instructions come in the pack.

OK, I'll give it a go, any missions or campaigns coming out for it?
