Avatar i aint spreading *any* false info, there's enough of that about without me! All i did was state on the box what it said, the mere fact that it states that it "may conflict with some CD-RW, DVD-RW, and virtual drives" is pretty much why i said *stick with a DVD-ROM* and not a DVD-ROM/RW. Do you think people are going to gamble buying a DVD-RW after reading the box or the posts around here? So it works for you with a RW, well what do you have to say to the folks above who also have DVD/RW and even a DVD/CD-RW and it *doesn't* install?? isn't that what you quoted as
"spread this kind of false information" erm it doesn't work for them and you've more or less called the kettle black.
You've not exactly benefited them with info -other than "it works on MY DVD-RW"
I have a DVD-ROM -what is stated on the box- and it works perfectly, ok some DVD-ROM drives still have problems but i can assure you -by reading here and other sites (check out the thread in Wolfbiscuits post) that there's a damn site more people with problems installing this from a DVD-RW/Combo than from a DVD-ROM *ONLY*
