This is so wierd.

I dug out my copy of Janes WWII Fighters today and tried installing it on my new dedicated gaming computer. When the autorun screen came up, everything was greyed out except "play online" which took me to some intrusive search site. I figured, "Oh, it doesn't like XPpro" so I tried it on my old Dell P3/500.......same thing!

Anybody have any ideas about that?

Pierre

This is a test, right Pierre?

OK, here are simple steps on how you fix that.

1: eject CD from drive
2: replace CD back in case
3: remove CD #1 from case
4: insert CD #1 into drive
5: install game

Gotta pick on ya, I know that is a "Doh!" moment.

Just tried it, and sure enough y'all have CD #2 in the drive.

Oh, forgot to mention.
This solution will work on both machines!

After installing, hop over to

and get some really good skins/missions/objects.

Not the most auspicious way to introduce myself to the community, eh?

Pierre,

SimHQ and WW2fighters are very friendly places full of people who are always happy to see new virtual faces. \:\)

Take Bill's advice and say hello over there and try some of the excellent mods available.
