Ok start from the top. What error message are you getting? If no message what is happening?

I had no problem installing to XP (Home edition), and have upgraded to Service Pack 1 since then, also with no problems. I don't have to run the compatibility mode either. However, I heard somewhere that Service Pack 2 causes some compatibilty issues. I don't know it that is true or not, but I've held off installing the pack just in case. \:\)

I did have some wierd problems about two weeks after installing the game however, where I would have to pop the CD out and back in before each mission. Norton Systems Works fixed the problem right up and I've never had a problem since.

Tell me more about this Norton System Works.

BTW, I was unware there is a a slight difference in some of the drivers available from Nvidia.

The difference in 43.45 to 52.16 is obvious. Jane's WW2 is unplayable in the latter. And the file size for these drivers are roughly the same.

However driver 45.33, is very different, and does not show under "Programs Installed" in the control panel "Add/Remove" programs list. This type of driver is larger in file size by almost twice the amount.

IN the past whenever I went to Windows update site, there was always a driver available to me to D/L for Nvidia, it seems this driver will now download but not install

It used to install, now it won't, it is roughly the same size as the 45.33 driver, which does install nicely. And appears to do the same thing as whatever was available from the Microsoft site.

I have both of these drivers installed now (43.54, and 45.33), and my machine runs very smoothly now.

I am rediscovering Jane's WW2 time and time again, this is a bloody nice game mates!

This forum is certainly not dead yet!
