I can't log on.

After the game loads and the demo starts, the keyboard only responds to the ESC menu. Clicking on "Resume" and once I move the mouse and the log on screen prompts for a new user,any key doesn't work except ESC. Any ideas anyone? Is there a patch? Is Rage software bankrupted? Can't seem to find its web site.
