Hey, Nephilim - I see you over at Frugal's Falcon forum sometimes, right? I've got TAW running, and am now working on EF2000. On my retro machine it works on - better sit down - an old Rendition card and looks great. But no net connection and a half operating stick on that rig.
But...I believe the Super EF2000 will run on my main computer, at least I'll try it. Looks so much worse, but what a fine sim it was and still is. But can you connect using internet protocol? I thought EF only used dial-up modem.

Nice to hear from you, Nephilim (term from the Old Testament, regard the Dead - am I close?).
Have SuperEF running right now on this computer. The Rendition Rig can't be connected to the net, nor can I determine any way to make the Glide version work on this nVidia/Win98SE computer.
I tried to set up a server, and got as far as the DirectP setup screen...Service: Internet TCP/IP for Direct Play. But it just resets when I click on Startup - goes to "Restart Network" button, in place of "Startup." Hangs there, then "Startup" appears again.
Any ideas? No firewall up at the time. I haven't tried to join a game, having no one with a game up at the moment.
Let me know how you've handled this, or maybe a time we could test whether I could join instead of host. I'm in Wyoming, Mountain Time - 2 hours earlier than Eastern. Use ICQ and RW primarily, altho I also have TeamSpeak client available.

Eugene that is what it does when joining online you will need another to join, it is working fine that is what it does, when someone joins the game it goes to the next screen where you see data being sent!! what it does now is all you will see until you have somebody join you!! I am confused on what version you have on the BOX or Disk does it say EF2000v2.0 or Super EF2000?? EF2000v2.0 had 3 different version in one. Super EF2000 only had the win 95 version!! Super EF2000 and EF2000v2.0 are NOT compatible Here is my ICQ#148635586 regarding my callsign your close it is a term used in the Old Testement, altho I havent heard of regard the dead. Nephilim, thanks for the info. I am possibly confusing Win 95 install of V2 with Super EF2000?
My version of EF2000 V2.0 - on the box cover - is a comprehensive, and I think original U.S. release of the upgraded original EF2000. The manual is a revised one from the original (which I still have). It lists three different install choices for Version 2.

Neph - thanks for the EF2000 set up and flights on-line. The Win version of V2.0 is incredibly solid and stable online! Although Falcon is my absolute favorite sim, its many issues in multi-play made EF2000 and its ancient code seem to good to be true.
Anyone who can install the Windows version should give this a try. The ability to fly the campaign co-op online is really attractive. Like to get one going? Post here or on TAW's forum, and let's do it.

All right! Glad you are still on the planet!! We've more or less given up on MP Falcon until Allied Force comes out. Unbelievable how rock solid ancient EF2000 is, even in campaign play, compared to it.
