That sure is wider than what I am seeing, but maybe wide FOV was left out of final?

That's a cool shot. I really enjoy flying from that perspective (ie., ef2k, adf, hornet korea) Hope it is in the final version.

I have the final version. The cockpit doesn't allow you anywhere near the wide field of view in the image above

Well thge photograph above does look lie it came from the game..so it MUSt have the option somewhere. My guess is that 's hidden (just the the ability go run the game beyond 1024x768). Check the registry setting for the game and see of there's something regarding FOV. I though I saw something like that in the demo; but I might have been dreaming.

Speaking of which, does the final game give you the option to go above 1024x768 resolution? If not..why not? we know the option is there, why hide it? Same thing with the FOV. If the option is there..why not let the gamers have access to it?

Because sometimes what you don't know keeps you from calling tech support?

Sorry for any confusion guys, but the shot shown above is a composite of views intended to let you see what's in the cockpit. It is not an in-game available view.

Wide view is the next best thing to handycam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........

Not

Being serious though, Rage should seriously consider the wide view.

Yep, the wide-angle track view was the least disorientating and that's why when I wrote that section of the old EF2000 strategy guide I strongly recommended its use in combat. I must admit it certainly looks good too! But personally, I havent missed it, and I find the existing view options to be very effective.
