Do you get a good apprecation of speed at low level? Will terrain following spoof missiles and hide you from ew sources?Any chance of some new screen shots?

regards

That feeling of speed you get at low altitude is function of the terrain graphics. In some simulations, they compensate by simply adding higher levels of ground detail in the form of objects, buildings, trees and so on. I was recently flying a pre-war training mission, flight testing, and having fun, buzzing the tower, and generally exploring. At one point I was flying below 200ft at Mach 1, looking out over the side of the canopy, the ground seemed to be going by so quickly that it was a blur! It seemed so fast infact, that I momentarily lost it and almost augured.

I can't answer your question about terrain masking because so far I haven't found myself in a position where it has been viable. I'll try to check it, but so far I haven't spent too much time in the weeds.

Screen shots should be easier. I'll do some and post them here.

Sounds good..while you're at it could you post a screen shoot with the game's interface showing. We've seen lots of screen shots of the game world and the aircraft; but what does the interface that let's you set up missions, etc look like?

Leon and I are a bit restricted in being able to put up screenshots without getting permission from Rage...now, we can do that (Rage is not trying to be secretive...they just want to retain control over the sim before its publication)...it may be better to let Rage answer these requests directly themselves.

Leon and I may be able to answer questions about the screenshots...so let's try that first.
