DELTA FORCE TM 2 GOES GOLD
Squads of Delta Force Fans Prepare for Assault on Retail Stores

CALABASAS, CA - (October 20, 1999) - NovaLogic announced today that the
hotly anticipated Delta Force TM 2 has mastered and will arrive in retail
stores throughout North America by November 4.
The follow-up to 1998's ground-breaking action game based on the U.S. Army's
elite counter-terrorist and hostage rescue team, Delta Force 2 features
greatly enhanced graphics, improved control and large-scale multi-player
action with built-in, push-to-talk voice communication.
Delta Force 2 uses NovaLogic's next-generation Voxel Space® 32 graphics
engine to produce long-range, outdoor engagements unmatched by any other
action game, making it possible to spot and engage enemies more than 1,000
meters away. 32-bit color depth yields smoother, more realistic voxel-based
terrain than ever -- rendering details down to individual blades of grass --
plus convincing weather effects like fog, rain and snow. Support for
Direct3D-compatible graphics accelerators with true 32-bit color means
improved rendering of the polygon-based objects in the game (trees,
buildings, vehicles, soldiers, etc.).
Like the original game, Delta Force 2 depicts real-world weapons used by
real Delta Force soldiers. New weapons like Heckler & Koch's silenced .45
caliber SOCOM pistol and P11 underwater pistol; a Russian-designed
underwater rifle; and the M4 carbine/12-gauge shotgun combo respectfully
known as the "Master Key" join returning favorites like the 5.56mm M4
carbine, the .50 caliber Barrett sniper rifle, the silenced MP5 submachine
gun and the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW). More realistic weapon physics
complete the picture: gravity and wind affect the trajectories of long-range
shots, and bullets are capable of penetrating tents and the walls of many
buildings in the game.
Players will have improved control over their allies in the game's 45
single-player missions thanks to a Commander's Screen that lets them issue
orders to their computerized squad-mates. The Commander's Screen is also
handy for cooperative and team-oriented multi-player action, where it helps
players coordinate their actions for more effective tactics.
In multi-player mode, Delta Force 2 supports as many as 50 players per arena
via NovaWorld TM, NovaLogic's fast, free Internet gaming service. Gamers who
go online can join forces to take on any of the game's single-player
missions or jump into ongoing games like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King
of the Hill, Team King of the Hill, Capture the Flag and more. Some
multi-player games feature support for as many as four teams, fixed weapon
emplacements with heavy machine guns or grenade launchers, and an Armory
where players can change or reload their weapons.
NovaLogic's built-in Voice-Over-Net TM technology lets teammates speak to
each other rather than typing messages while the bullets fly. For a limited
time, Delta Force 2 will include a free Labtec LVA-7330 headset microphone,
ideal for use with Voice-Over-Net. Also included is a full-featured Mission
Editor that lets players create their own single- and multi-player
challenges.
Delta Force 2 is available on CD-ROM for Windows 95/98/NT systems and
carries an average shelf price of $39.95.
