Hope there's someone out there who can help me. What I'd like to know is - what (approximately) was the rotation speed of the M4A3 Sherman's turret (in degrees per second; or how many seconds it took to rotate 360').

Similar info for the Panzer IV ausf. G, Tiger, Panther ausf. G and M26 Pershing would also be greatly appreciated!

If ya want real minutae like that the 'Combat mission' forums might be the place. They used to discuss (argue) smile all about stuff like that. BTW are you also working on Soldiers ofWW2 mods? I think I saw a Drawde posting there too. Good like in any event!

One thing to be careful regarding the CM forums, is that a LOT, if not all the info. you'll find there is strictly book stuff.

I.e., there's always a lot of difference between what a book says a weapon can do, and what it ends up actually able to do in the field.

Thanks very much for the link!

According to the AFVDB site, the Pershing has the same traverse rate as the Sherman (24 deg/s) and the Panther and Tiger both have a traverse rate of 6 deg/s.

Still no info on the Panzer IV (I also tried looking on www.wwiivehicles.com).
