Voted no, I don't think Steam has a pre-order ability. Aside from that, I have way too many modules as it is, even though this one seems particularly nice, I have to stick with a small subset. So for now I'm running F-16 + AV8B. Plus a couple of helos smile

Voted No because I already have a couple of modules that I bought a while ago which I have barely touched so far. I will most likely though eventually buy the Phantom. Eventually. smile

I have plenty modules I didn't or barely touched, but my current fav is the F-14, it's absolutely the best ever virtual recreation I ever played of it, and I want to support Heatblur, so I pre-bought it, which I very rarely do.

I have plenty of modules that I rarely fly but I had to have the F-4.

My favourite jet by far, so of course I had to have it... The English Electric Lightning is high up there as well, so if that turns up at some stage it's a guaranteed buy as well!

Yes indeed! I think someone is making a very high quality (think A-4) mod of the EE Lightning.

A few minutes ago I was sitting in dr office waiting to have my knee x-rayed. Older guy walks by, sees my t-shirt (US Naval Aviation Museum Pensacola FL) and starts talking to me. Says he was USAF but he flew in/out of Pensacola some. I asked what he flew.... PHANTOMS!

Didn't have time to talk but just a minute but had to share. Now to see what Dr has to say about those x-rays....

Thanks for sharing that great story F4U and I wish you all the best with your knee. My mom will most likely be having knee surgery later this year.

After an ultrasound, 2 x-rays and an MRI they tell me it is "probably" arthritis. banghead

I do have all the WW2 except for the Russian planes, no interest in any “modern” stuff nor in private health issues :-) .

So why even bother with DCS? Just play IL-2 Stalingrad.

The clicky cockpits and complex engine management.

Although IL2 does have more/cheaper aircraft, better single player and damage models.

So, the real question is why not both?

IL-2 Stalingrad has complex engine management.

Yep, you can blow an engine real quick if you don't manage oil/cowl flaps on some engines

Phantom is postponed to later in spring.

As long as it comes in good shape, I don't mind.

Same here... a major bug has cropped up and they are sorting it... I don't care how long it takes to rectify, I'll still be waiting for it when they release it.

Personally I would take it with the bug and fly the crap out of it until April, May, June or however long it took to fix the bug.

But I know that's not how they want to work so I'll wait.
