Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

Yeah, I can definitely connect with a lot of those...

I'm "remember most of these as an adult, not a kid" old.

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
The endless scrolling down to year of birth, 1950 in my case, resonates with me!
A few things that made me realise I am rather old.

Overhearing a daughter describe me as 'sprightly'.
Offspring mystified or laughing at some of my archaic utterances: 'bosky', 'smarm', 'bunfight', 'mayhap'. A response to a comment I typed on a YT video: "Yo, you Shakespeare Bruh?"

After a car collision 2 years ago, I have footage from my dashcam of horrified witnesses peering through the windscreen illuminated by headlights exclaiming, "it's a really old geezer! Better call an amubulance!" Which was more distubing than being side swiped at a junction and spinning backwards into a hedgerow.

Tutting at the red prompt under my native English spelling of words such as 'realise' and 'colour' smile

Oh, so that word isn't simply a construct for fantasy films and tv shows then? wink

Another sad aspect relevant to this community is Virtual Squadron members, part of the old IL2 Hyperlobby scene, dying.
My old Squad has lost 4 members and one member's wife in the last couple of years, the most recent being tragically young, the others apart from one in his 90's, in their 70's.
Methinks I'm on borrowed time at 74!

That was fun!

This one really took me back...I've watched a lot of "old toys" vids etc. but this is the first time I saw this one since I had one in the 70's.

Yup, I had one of those water ring-toss toys as well as a kid in the late 70's. Those things leaked all the time after a while!

Haha, I had or a friend had one of those ring toss things. Wow. Gotta show my daughter that.
