...Hi everyone.
I started my combat flight sim with stuff like EAW, Fighter squadron, Microsoft CFS, Janes, IL2, Rowans BOB and more....I've loved every minute of ithem...
Then came the modding and tweakin thing for me and it all became Blah and not actually flying much... The modern sims felt empty and lacking in gameplay and immersion.
There's so many great things about DCS and the new IL2 stuff but...Now I have discovered the great work that the OBD team have put into WOFF and WOTR I'm like a kid in a sweet shop again.
The campaign and AI are absolutely amazing......A little bit of tweaking for decent framerates and dealing with the old school control inputs are minor irritations when you are going to fly a full and enriched personal campaign where you feel you get to know all of the other members of your squadron and actually care about them when you see them being attacked or burning and diving into the ground.
I am absolutely loving this and hoping to get one pilot through the Battle of France and all the way through the Battle of Britain.
Just a few questions if anybody may know.....Can I turn off radio chatter?...It's very well done but annoyingly repetitive....Can I input rudder and aileron trim to an axis ?..and can I start a mission with a default cockpit view and FOV? Thanks..

Welcome SgtWilson,

Good to hear you are enjoying WOTR. We aimed to design an old school super immersive single player game, like many of those you mentioned.

Radio chatter, there's no disable, but I guess you could try renaming the sound folders and/or files.

Send a mail to support and I'll indicate how.

Thanks Pol.

The chatter seems to have become less repetitve now I'm into some campaigns so I'll leave it for now but I've suddenly gotten crashes with this screen...Seems to have started after installing Battle of France.Either the mission ends as if I've cancelled it or this screen comes up when trying to restart..

Hope somebody can help..Thanks.

If I do support here will have to split the thread, so best if you send that to support email - also send the logs (Do NOT post them here please) as per the last 2 pages of the WOTR FAQ (see website support page).

I think I may have sorted it Pol thanks.

It seems map related...some missions I'd saved while using a map mod and then not uninstalling that mod when upgrading to Battle of France.

I'll remember to use support if there is a next time..Thanks..

OK glad you found it - certainly sounds likely where the issue came from .
The map is particularly important, any missing files etc could cause a crash.
