Ah yes, "Encounter at Farpoint". I'm SO glad they got rid of those "man skirts" after the pilot episode.

I had just moved to San Diego, working computer retail, and my schedule kept me from watching the first few episodes, and it was years later before I saw most of the first season in reruns. Strangely, the lowest frequency of my FM radio would pick up the audio of local Fox affiliate on which it aired, so I was able to listen to a few early episodes while driving home, though.
