David McCallum: NCIS and The Man from U.N.C.L.E actor dies aged 90


British actor David McCallum is being remembered as a "true renaissance man" after his death at age 90.

McCallum was most recently known for playing a pathologist on hit CBS TV programme NCIS, which went on to generate several spinoff series.

In the 1960s, McCallum played a secret agent on hit spy drama The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

The Scottish-born actor died in New York on Monday. His death was due to natural causes.

NCIS will not be worth watching now.

First they kill off the girl Kate in barely the first season and she went on to play Tom Cruise wife in Mission Impossible, then they get another girl agent and she leaves. Then they get another girl agent and she leaves too. Tony leaves. Then another girl agent comes on and she leaves too. Then the forensic girl leaves and she is replaced by a boring new forensic girl. Then they get a girl NCIS director and she gets killed and a girl NCIS psychiatrist comes on the show and she quits. Now they got the girl agent who was the always naked girl in Spartacus and it's a miracle she stuck around. Then Gibbs the lead actor leaves and he is replaced with a boring guy. .Only original member still left is McGee. Even Palmer, the ME that replaced McCallum is not from the original season.

I only really remember him from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. I loved that show.

I remember seeing a few of the episodes as a kid (reruns) along with the original Mission Impossible series.

The Great Escape was just on last night and I saw him in it as I was flipping channels He was also in a short-lived series "The Invisible Man." But the first show I think of when I think of him is The Man From U.N.C.L.E. I always enjoyed any performance he gave, he just came across as a solid character.

He will always be llya Kuryakin to me ....RIP sir
