OK I did use Ankors DX11 shaders and Woff is working in VR, VR-depth and eye candy is not good. When going back to the BH&H2 own DX9 I can not start BH&H2 in VR, so my conclusion the new DX9 stuff is not working with VorpX. Next week I’m going to try the old versions provided by Ankor only I noticed the link at https://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3881675/DirectX_8_to_9_converter_updat#Post3881675 is not working, are the DX9 from the Sim-Outhouse forum useable for BH&H2?

Have you tried the VR options on reshade to improve VR-depth? I don't have VR, but I'm quite curious if this can be worked out. I can give it a go, if you sent me the Reshade link, but first I want to optimize VorpX with BH&H2. BTW, Is there a member who can sent me d3d8.dll and d3d8.ini from WoFF-UE? rNot needed I do have UE on my 4Gb back up external HD

Sorry I do not get this, you wanting to say? It's OK, it's a bit of an inside joke. I've been trying to get them to add in dx11 for a while so we could get glow effects for explosions and tracers and better reflections and distance occlusion for tracking aircraft against terrain...
The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Think it’s Ankor who is facing DX11 problems, maybe a hop to DX10 or direct to DX12 would be a good compromise if that DX version is an improvement. DX10 works just fine for example in First Eagles 2 and is a noticeable improvement over DX9 (in FE2) -- can't remember the specific post where I mentioned this before, but DX10 would be a good compromise in WoFF between enhanced graphics and FPS-friendliness. DX11 might not be a good idea unless WoFF can be made multiple-core aware (or at least to tap a bit into a second core on one's processor, to maintain good FPS with improved eye-candy). ...But even the DirectX9 shares from EU are not good, because VorpX still give a pop-up message its needs the Ankor 2017 shaders and not the 2016 from UE. Might also be a good idea to try with a Platinum Ed. install of WoFF (if you have that addon to UE; perhaps it's more compatible with Ankor's shaders, etc.); as well, if you have the time/interest, maybe tinker with a "hybridized" WoFF install too (for example, alongside my BH&H2 install, I also run a backport of PE-era terrains and BH&H2 aircraft in a WoFF-UE era install, ver. 4.18, so that I can use SweetFX -- works just fine and is stable). A similar, experimental approach might yield the VR results that you are looking for. Good luck with the VR testing and implementation,

I haven't seen any DX11 WIP posts since 2020. I would love if DX11 (or even DX10) were to be somehow ported into WOFF if they could get the 3d clouds optimized and the lighting better but 3 years (to my knowledge) of silence says this is probably a dead project. A shame, really. I'd donate some good cash if it could be made to happen. Someone ask AnKor what kind of bribe it might take. Is anyone still in regular contact with him?

I did communicate with Ankor, and he did not have any plans for DX11. Also about Woff shaders he could not help as he did not have this game installed.
Thank you, Dutch. I presumed as much and with all he has already done for the WOFF community, who could ask for more? He has more than earned the right to focus his attention wherever makes him happy. Maybe someday DX10/11 could be implemented by someone but I think the odds are highly against it. Such is life.
