Ok, simply a shot in the dark wish from a very long-time military flight simulation gamer. This team has done such wonderful things with WOFF/WOTR using MIcrosoft Combat Flight Simulator, if only they could/would with MiG Alley. For a military jets before missile simulator, it was enjoyable and from what I remember unique in it's approach. LIke MCFS though, there was plenty of room for improvement. OK, enough said.

Have you tried modded BOBII? I forget the name of the mod and the graphics are now a little dated, but it is still a fun sim to fly.

Have you got a video of the gameplay anywhere, BB?

I was actually hoping for this before they announced the secret project was going to be WoTR!

I don't know... would be tough to top DCS in that area. I love WOFF for WWI because it is so deep in history, atmosphere, graphics and playability...and of course the insane campaign!!

But for Jet to Jet combat, DCS is tops. There are also campaigns you can purchase for cheap and plenty of support on-line.

There is only one proper campaign for DCS for the F-86 and the MiG-15 and that is by Reflected... it's excellent, but it's not on a Korean map.
Anyone that knows anything about the Korean air war knows there are quite a few aircraft that can be used, both props and jets, and I can't think of a better crew to attempt to do it justice than Pol and Co.

I am a mad MiG Alley sim player. One of the major reasons why I hung onto my Win XP system was because I wanted to continue flying Empire's MiG Alley.

IMHO it is easily the best combat sim ever developed. The learning curve can be very frustrating, but once done this sim just gives and gives. And of course you won't get anywhere unless you use DBond's superb Spring Offensive guides. The AI is incredible, as is the detail and depth of the campaign.

It is my all time favourite.

By providing a believable AI opponent and immersive interactive campaign Rowan’s Mig Alley immerses me into history the same way that WOFF does.

Not have any experience in that Korea war game, I was at that time fully into RB3D, but I would check the Maddox Il2-1946 mod sites like https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php or https://www.mission4today.com/index.php
Think right now the best flying experience you can get is to try DCS or maybe FS2020 if this game has a Korea war plane.

Just for giggles I dug out my old MiG Alley Disk but realized I had no updated patches and that it likely wouldn't run anyways on my win11 pc.

Those graphics are a long way from the MiG Alley I played back in 1999!

Hi,

please don't forget BMS-Falcon 4.0, very good development and campaigns.
And a nice new info:
https://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4625992/microprose-acquires-falcon#Post4625992

You can read the info on BMS-forum, too.

Greetings

I did a lot of BMS a few years back. Too few hours in the day! I'll be back once the new terrain drops! I'm fully on board with the gameplay over graphics, but it was really hard to track ground targets over the terrain tiles...
