Ok just love WOFF only one question I have a quick PC and I get a solid 60 FPS the only problem is the trees just seem to pop into view like load when flying low is there any way of stopping this.
I have all the settings maxed out in terrain so do I need to lower any settings ?

They will load as a new area is approached but usually it's not too visible - some sims make them go invisible, some change shapes etc, but we don't do that. If WOFF is not on an SSD drive, try reinstalling to one to minimise. Also panning around a few times can help load in textures and scenery to ease the 'loading load'.
Knocking back the terrain and scenery settings a notch (depending on your system) can help - I just flew now with 4, 4 (WOFF BH&HII), for those settings and it was pretty good here.

In the more southerly regions like Alsace there are zillions of trees so you may notice loading more.

Thanks for fast reply, I have only SSD Drives in my PC.

I reduced terrain detail and scenery quality to 4 from 5 also reduced terrain shadow detail to 2 from 3 and the trees do not pop up as bad as they did before I flew from Alsace Belfort field and headed for the trees and it is much better thanks again for your help.

Ask VonS about one of his GPU tuner mods. They allow you to fine-tune the amount of texture and scenery detail to help minimize the scenery popping.

You might also consider installing JJJ's Mission Editor. It also allows you to control how much detail you want, depending on the amount of air activity over the front, depending upon the year. The Mission Editor is easy to install, and even though it has lots of features, you can use as few or as many as you want.

Happy flying!

Hi BB and olddog,

Instead of repeating previous posts, I'll just pop in a quick link here to relevant (compressed) info. regarding the GPU Tuners, if olddog is interested in checking that out. It's possible that the various tuners help with tree and other item popping, but I haven't really noticed any item popping (appearing/disappearing) in stock WoFF anyway so can't offer more help than to point to the relevant link.

Cheers all & carry on,
smile2
