Some covers are so good they actually are better than the original song and some other covers fall short and aren't very good and then you have bizarre covers like this one,

David Bowie was a great fan of Klaus Nomi.

Always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.
Elie Wiesel. Romanian born Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate, Holocaust survivor. 1928 - 2016.

Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts. C.S. Lewis, 1898 - 1963.

I've never heard of this guy. I couldn't turn away, it was pretty good to be honest. I like a bit of weird.

*edit* Died at the age of 39, that's sad. Now I'm watching more of his stuff.

I need drugs to appreciate that song. Not sure which ones, but something.

Reminds me of Gail from Breaking Bad.

I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the
most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad.

Another odd cover (IMO) from Devo 1977
https://youtu.be/jadvt7CbH1o

I knew people who liked it, but I don't get it.
