I can smell smoke (since yesterday), and it is hazy where I am. KraziKanuck is right in the eye of it. It going to get worse as the day progresses.

I am here to report that the white section at the eastern edge of Lake Erie, that sits with a yellow and blue section surrounding it, should probably be yellow as well. That's Buffalo, NY, where I am, and we are getting smoke here as well.

Yes, that was a screencap from 5 hours ago, it is moving south quickly. The link in my OP reflects that.

There is a fire close by, 170km west of downtown Ottawa near Calabogie, that is also generating smoke.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Sometimes it's hard not to be a conspiracy believer. LINK Climate change is the flavour of the week. Carbon taxes.

Have the investigators found out what could have possibly started these fires?

I found it awful being outside with smoke maybe 1/4 as dense a few years ago.

Only staying indoors with a HEPA and ozone air purifier running full blast seemed to help.

At least some of the Quebec fires are being blamed on lightning. There are 160 fires in Quebec right now. The Alberta fires are being blamed on controlled burns gone bad, plus arson. It has been very dry, and windy. The perfect storm.

I have never seen anything like this in my life.

I went for a short walk with my brother in law today. The air quality is horrible, you can actually taste it.

Even here in 'cold and wet England' (as many US citizens believe is our lot) we haven't had rain where I live since May 11th

Code RED for NYC air pollution. Smoke as far south as the Carolinas.

Got a text this morning. My friend's flight was routed to Minnieapolis.

I hope NYC residents don't get sick

Interesting. This appears to show multiple fires starting at once. Is it a fact ? IDK.

Them smoke be moving south.

Just saw this online:

Quote
States that have air quality alerts right now

Health officials in 16 states and Washington, D.C., issued or extended air quality alerts Thursday, warning that fine particulate matter from the wildfire smoke could exceed unhealthy levels and make breathing difficult, especially for people in sensitive groups, such as children, those over the age of 65 or those with underlying respiratory conditions.

Also, take note. It is "experts" blaming climate change , NOT scientists. I don't know about the USA, but in Canada the new fear tactic is climate change. That is the reason they keep raising our taxes, especially on fuel. This article claims that the more than 2000 fires have been started by humans.

There has been no rain for weeks, we need it desperately. Summer arrived about a month early this year.

With the push for vaccine passports, carbon tracking may not be far behind ? 15 minute cities and all.
