Just an FYI.

The default squadron Nieuport 10C1 used by the HQ Sqd 1 Wing RNAS in January 16 is a hybrid with French roundels on the wings and British on the fuselage.

As far as I remember from my readings, the RFC (and RNAS) didn't standardize on British roundels until about early or mid-1916. If you fly early war, you will often therefore see a mixture of French- and British-style roundels and other insignia - which would explain such markings on a Nieup. 10.

Happy early war flying with mixed insignia,

~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile (https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~

TY. I quickly went through what research material I have but did not come across this piece of history.
