I have always wondered... how does the Warthog stick feel around the center zone? Do you feel a transition flat/bump as you move the stick across--a noticeable notch, or is there nothing at all and you get a completely smooth, range of motion on both the X and Y axis without any interruption at all? When I move I will need to get another stick, likely, and my Uber II NXT HOTAS Cougar is perfect. I can write my name using my fingertips on the stick because of the extreme smoothness and precision around the center zone. Alas, I need to learn about other options.

I hope I can convince the wife to let me bring this along, but her illness is... complicated.

The default construction of the Warthog does have a noticeable bump at center, and it would required modification to remove it.

Bummer. I wonder what high end sticks out there have no bump. I hear the top Virpil or Winwing gimbals might have none.

My VKB is very smooth. Modern Combat grip I believe, Gunfighter base.

My Evenstrain Cougar is perfectly smooth at any deflection and with any amount of pressure.. I also have a Uber NXT and although that is also a fine gimbal mod, there's really no comparison between the two.
