I have to say of those three I'm most surprised about MIchael Keaton playing Batman/Bruce Wayne again. As for the new Little Mermaid and the new Indiana Jones movie I have ZERO interest so I won't be watching either one.

I don't have interest in those movies either, but I think it shows how creatively bankrupt Hollywood is, that we're getting basically rehashes of movies from 20+ years ago.

Keaton was my favorite Batman, by far. And I don't like superhero movies. At all. I despise them. But Batman I can tolerate, because he's basically a man with gadgets.

No. Iron Man movies had stupid amounts of CGI and honestly... his "tech" felt quite unrealistic and "super power-ish."

Tim Burton's movies didn't use dumb CGI everywhere, and Batman felt more down to earth.

I liked the first Iron Man OK, but still so much of it was over the top (building an Arc reactor in a dungeon when scientists couldn't do it in a lab with a working example) that it was closer to fantasy in my mind.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are my two faves. They also had aspects that were beyond belief, and a few plot holes, but still much better than most.

+1

The Chris Nolan take on Batman is about the best you can do on film IMHO. The Robert Pattinson version as Batman was better than I thought it would be but I didn't like it as much.

So in one movie we have (among other things):

Open heart surgery performed in a dungeon. Twice.
A powerful, ground-breaking generator built in a dungeon using crude tools and dirt molds, when scientists in labs with an existing, functional unit can't figure out how to build one.
A human-sized armored suit that includes drive motors, rocket launchers, flame throwers and rockets for flight is built in a dungeon under constant supervision of captors who are clueless.
A person who survives a fall from hundreds of feet wearing said armor suit, which somehow negates the inertia of his internal organs from being ripped apart on impact.
A new armored suit with strength-enhancing motors, and some kind of thruster that fits in the gloves and shoes of the armored suit that can propel it to seemingly trans-sonic speeds indefinitely without any kind of propellant.
Said new armored suit can withstand a direct hit from a tank round, and another fall from hundreds of feet, then fire a weapon capable of destroying a tank from its forearm.
Said new armored suit can't withstand cold.

vs Another movie that has :

An armored vehicle driving on rooftops of buildings about which we have no idea of their construction.
A microwave emitter that vaporized water in pipes but not in human bodies.

diference being one movie embraced those outlandish features from the get go while the other was pretentious enough to want you to believe it was above them.
