I've wanted to see a new Pacific theatre sim with Grumman cats and so forth with ROF and beyond level physics and graphics. It sounds promising. I hope they manage to take the time to address what has been lacking for many years in sims and that is what made so many of the golden era sims feel more immersive and charming in the form of detailed, graphically pleasing menu screens for things such as briefing, debriefing, airplane hanger environs and so forth. It would also be nice to see a score written that is memorable and stokes the imagination. So much music in these titles don't feel as unique as they used to nearly 30 years ago. They may be AAA quality compositions but they often manage to sound generic and common. Sims need to try to incorporate more personality and storytelling to flesh out the experience. Maybe they could hire 3D artists to make animated menus and writers to build in some storytelling through history filled briefings and maybe even newspaper and magazine articles of the period.
