I'm overdue putting a lid on this topic.
The problem is solved !.
I bought a second hand "Nvidia RTX 3060ti" off eBay. And binned the "AMD" card. After nearly 3 years of misery.
Now after playing with the settings for a few weeks. I'm now getting with B&H2 an average 80 FPS, 179 max. with all 1st column set at 5, other boxes set high or max.
Also aircraft res', woods and airfield complexity set high. Bloody hell it looks so much better now. I'm using a 49" 1080p TV, looks good to me.
There's two reasons I'm getting these frame rates. 1st is I've gone into Nvidia settings, top of the list, that green twisty half an eye thing. taken it off balanced and put it on performance instead. And remembered to 'apply' it this time.
Then in 3D settings 'Performance' as well.
I got at least a 30 FPS jump with almost maxed out in settings. I'm impressed !. And of course VonS's MODs are a big help.
Back to BoF, it's working OK now. Although a few more "scrambles" and lot less routine patrols with empty sky's would be better.
But I can't quite boast the same FPS with maxed out settings here. Not so many 5s now, had to put some 4s in. Maybe I have the wrong MODs running?. 'WOTR phase 2 enhancement pack'. with 'WOTR Franklen mini tuner 1.2' on top.
Anyhow the point is Don't consider getting AMD.
