Make the settings and set the date (which will be used for the sunrise and sunset times)
As it is a Darwin theatre I clicked the "Use Dawin Tiles" checkbox
Click "Select target and bases from the map"

The red circles are bases and the blue ones targets with no base.
Bringing the mouse cursor close to one displays the name, and clicking will select it
I selected "Allied Base 72" then clicked on "Target", "Friendly Primary HB" and "Friendly Secondary HB"

Similarly I selected "Axis Base 182" and set it as both the Enemy Primary HB" and "Enemy Secondary HB"
Then I clicked "Launch".The mission was saved and EAW ran.
Sitting on the tarmac at the start I checked the map:

Everything matched the settings

The saved file will be the most recent one in the "MPData/TempMissions" folder. After testing it can be copied and pasted into an appropriate sub-folder and re-named.
Alternatively if there are problems it can be deleted.
I just copied the file ("Mission46.txt") into my "Darwin December" sub-folder and re-loaded it with the script-loader to fly a test mission.

It worked well

If you can handle selecting things in single mission parameters then you should have no problems using the script-maker or the script-loader programs

Because of the selectable parameters I prefer flying host only missions to single missions.
