Hi all,
The Bristol Scout 1260 model is more or less complete.
Added details include open access panels, refueling funnel with removed tank filler cap, external starter switch and all rigging.
Also an over wing Lewis machine gun with gun sight, butt latch on decking panel and trigger cable.
Finally a pilot and mechanic figure stood on a trestle.

I still have to make the display for this model.
Once done I'll of course post final photographs and upload my PDF build log to my web site.

Your build looks like a living-breathing war machine, not some sterile piece you might find in an aviation museum.

Really excellent Mike, you should do some larger size models like that for display.

When I see your models I always think a great Twilight Zone episode would involve a WWI pilot somehow getting shrunk down and finding himself in your mancave. Then he'd have to fly his way out to get away from the evil hun "cat". LOL

This is the 1:32nd scale ‘Copper State Models’ model of Bristol Scout C, Serial number 1260 of No.5 Wing (RNAS), operating from Dover as part of Home Defence in 1916.

‘AK Interactive’ Faded White (AK3029) - Sheep skin coat, shirt/collar, top of cap.
‘Flory Models’ Grime wash - Wash over the white sheep skin coat.
‘Flory Models’ Dark Dirt wash - Lightly wash over the white sheep skin coat.

Was that a dry brush on the Dark Dirt wash?

Hi Rob,
Wet brush the 'Grime' and let it dry.
Then lightly brush on the 'Dark Dirt' and let it dry.
Finally using a slightly damp brush, brush over it all to remove the washes from the high points to reveal some of the white,
