I call that the Renee Zellwegger effect.

We want 4 hours. Why chop it! I will try to see it next week. https://www.ign.com/articles/john-wick-chapter-4-was-originally-almost-four-hours-long

A 4 hour movie is not economically feasible for movie theaters. It ties up too much of their time and screens.

"John Wick" is not "Scarface" or "The Godfather." There's no reason this film should be longer than one hour forty five minutes.

I saw a couple of movies last weekend:

1) "Death Machine" -- WOW! What a FIND! This one was so good it deserves the poster. This 90s gem is surely a sci-fi film few have seen, but deserves to be watched:

[Linked Image]

Basically, this is a AAA B-movie. So don't expect "Aliens" or "Terminator," but instead expect a masterfully crafted tribute to these movies, directed by the director of "Blade." The action is good. The mechanized monster is great, and there are some fantastic lines here. If you like a small slice of cheese with a tasty sci-fi flick that has been refined into something that knows what fans want, then this is one to watch. *** 1/2 out of **** stars. I stumbled across this straight to video gem, purely by chance. Brad Dourif even does a great impression of Pee Wee. smile

2) "Hotel Mumbai" -- A film based on a horrific tragedy conducted by Islamic terrorists. Horrifying. This really happened, and those who doubt these fiends should watch. Out of respect for the dead, I will not rate this film. But know many innocent folks(in the hundreds) died or were wounded over these few days. Very well done.

Totally agree, Hotel Mumbai was really well done. I hope that something like this never happens again. Sadly, we know it probably will.

I found Death Machine, the full movie on Youtube if anyone is interested. I must be honest I've never heard of it but I'm going to give it a go.

Watch in full HD and theatrical wide screen format if you can.

Stephen Norrington is perhaps best known for directing the original Blade film which was fantastic.

I like that term you used Blastman "AAA movie". Actually, both Ridey Scott has mentioned in interviews that he considered Alien to be a B movie and Cameron has said the same thing about the original Terminator. Both of those films had very modest budgets for their time.

I like After Life. Have watched the first two seasons, and they’re a good mix of funny and serious.

I just finished season 2. Great show. I will be watching season 3.

Back from seeing John Wick 4, excellent. What you expect from the series and quite touching at the end.

Worth a watch.

I know this will be the final John Wick film but with an opening weekend like that you just KNOW Keanu is going to be offered a new action movie franchise.

Ain't he gettin on a bit for big action movies though? Wasn't that part of the reason this was the last John Wick movie? Either way he did well in this one and seems in a good enough shape, I'm sure he could do a few more.

I also saw John Wick 4 over the weekend. It was a great action movie with a couple neat set pieces and one spectacular one.

I also saw The Whale. I'll put in in the category of a really good, well done movie that I'll probably only ever see once. Kudos on this one to the makeup/costume folks and acting performances by Brendan Fraser and Hong Chau.

Oh yes and my guess would be that Keanu is ready to move on creatively but if there's one thing Hollywood loves it's milking a hot property.
